Bushmanspad Estate, a top-quality red wine project situated high on the slopes of the spectacular Langeberg mountains in the Western Cape of South Africa, offering high class wine and accommodation.

The name of the farm relates to the time when the Bushmen came over the mountains to do trading in the valley. The old trail and the kloof in the rocks above the waterdam still shows records of those days.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet franc, Sauvignon Blanc, Mourvèrdre and Malbec cultivars have been established high on the mountain slopes, taking full advantage of this ideal climate along the Langeberg Mountains. Bushmanspad has proven over the years that the terroir creates award winning wines. The Robertson valley is blessed with rich alluvial soil, consistent summer temperatures, low annual rainfall and light humidity.

The 5 country style cottages enable us to share the spectacular panoramic views, breath-taking sunsets and peaceful nights as only enjoyed under an African sky.

I liked the scenic Tradouw Pass, visited the waterfall, and Die Drupkelder cave.
We had lunch at Diesel & Creme. Very impressed with their food once again.
We also visited Ronnies Sex Shop. Nice novelty pub to visit.

We enjoyed lunch at Viljoensdrift and Catharinas and also having dinner on the private patio watching the sun set over the mountains. The King size bed was super comfortable and the large fenced garden made it very private for us and our scotty dogs.
