Reviews
The road leading to the chalet is rough. SUV or bakkie is required to reach the destination. The helper, Zoce, was very friendly. The facility was very clean. Everything works. I would suggest a microwave for the unit. Make sure you bring enough groceries. The shops are situated far out. Brauhaus is close by and worth the visit. The Jacuzzi is wonderful. We had the best stay of our lives. Peaceful, quiet and secluded.
Honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. My boyfriend and I stayed there over a weekend and the only thing I can complain about is the fact that we hadn’t booked to stay longer! Zoce was so friendly and so helpful. The cabin is very secluded and peaceful. The room and surroundings were well kept and clean. You definitely get your moneys worth and then some. We will definitely be going back. Thank you for this hidden gem! Amazing amazing amazing place
Stayed two nights at Impressions retreat. We stayed in the sky cabin and loved having our own private fire pit and beautifully maintained pool. We made full use of the hiking trails along the ridge with breathtaking views and paddled in the river pools. Although the bird and wild life is very shy ,we still saw monkeys, kudu, mongoose and numerous bird species as well as seeing the spoor and scat of multiple buck species, porcupine and serval. The only drawbacks are the road leading to the cabin which became very difficult in the wet weather, the cabin can get very stuffy in the heat and the near by school can get very rowdy which intruded on the otherwise perfect solitude of the bush. But overall a private, picturesque retreat and we will definitely become regulars.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Impressions retreat. the wooden chalet was clean and had everything we needed. the surrounding area was beautiful, quiet and completely private. The pool area was magnificent, the pool a clear, sparkling blue, with relaxing loungers and a day bed in case you wanted a little snooze. Impressions Retreat was everything you wanted and expected from a quite bushveld getaway.
We had a lovely stay and felt honored to be able to stay in the main house. When life happens and an honest mistake and double booking occurred, Sonwabo and his wife opened their beautiful private home on the property to us. We felt truly relieved and their kind gesture made the stay even more special than we anticipated. Our friends stayed in the cottages and were very impressed and we would both recommend Impressions Retreat as a top class accommodation choice.
Once again, we thank you for such a wonderful time and your open heart and cosy home. Your guest farm is beautiful and so are you guys as hosts xxx
Wonderful place for a quiet getaway. Hosts are very accommodating.
Absolutely awesome stay! The accommodation was wonderful, clean and tidy! Had everything you need for a rustic weekend stay! The Jacuzzi was awesome! Special shout out to Zoce who worked there for his constant smiles and friendly nature! We will be back to stay again for sure!
Such a tranquil and relaxing stay! Loved the heated Jacuzzi upon arrival and the hospitality of the workers! Will definitely go back soon!
We loved the cottage which had everything we needed. The private swimming pool is a bonus. It is very private. The view from the deck is amazing. Will definitely come again.
If you are looking for privacy, beauty and peace this is the space for you. Wish we could have spent a week.

Magaliesburg Reviews
Travel by day prevents being surprised by potholes, so pack in some patience when heading this way. Magaliesburg's Little Roadhouse had friendly service and fabulous slap chips. The Route 66 Events held at Mt Grace Hotel were most enjoyable. Looking forward to our next visit.
History of the Magaliesberg.
Peacefulness and tranquility, abundance of nature, away from the city
Hiking and Wildlife.
The open spaces and the peace and quiet.

Lots of hikes, clay pigeon shooting and lovely restaurants and breweries.
Beautiful area with lots to do but great to unwind and relax.
Its an escape, away from the busy city life.
Away from the noise.
The different restaurants in the area and the scenery.
