It has picturesque mountains surrounding it and the village is utterly charming. It is situated 336 km from Johannesburg, 284 km from Bloemfontein, 389 km from Durban.
Mushroom Rock is a highlight of Clarens and you are able to walk on St Fort farm and take an easy hike up to the rock where the views are spectacular. It is not a strenuous hike, although there are longer and more challenging hikes if you want them.

The house is on a secure gated golf course, perfect for playing golf and beautiful walks around the estate.
The Clarens golf course follows the stream and dams down the valley to the Club House and Conference Centre.

Reviews
The house is located in a secure and quiet estate with great views. The interior is cozy and well appointed for a family. The host gave clear and detailed information on the accommodation as well as activities in the surrounding area. This quaint little town is great for nature lovers or for a break.
Everything was above standard, great value for money.
Wonderful stay!
We absolutely loved our stay at this incredible guesthouse. It is so beautifully furnished and such a wonderful home for a holiday.
I highly recommend this guesthouse. It was a magical stay. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved spending time on the front verandah soaking in the views.

FOREVER CLARENS WAS JUST THE BEST !!!!! :)
We stayed in the Family unit and it was 7 STAR - Couldn't wish for any better
Jaco & Myrna are wonderful, Everything was organised and ready for us, communication was a pleasure on whats app. And another BIG bonus is that we parked our car, and only got back into it when our stay ended. Town is a few paces away and CLARENS is just so chilled and relaxed.
Will be back to Forever Clarens For Sure :)
The easy acess to the mountains and the beautiful different hikes. I enjoyed the quaint little town.
So many great little restaurants and stores to explore! So hard to just pick a favorite. Really enjoyed the Gin tasting at Red Rock as well as the beer tasting at the brewery. Great and friendly service. A great town to explore the surrounding scenery from.
The hikes and the quaint town experience formed a great mix of getting outside while still being able to go into town and browse around.
The rich culture of the town, the restaurants, antique shops, and the craft beer!
Everything. The atmosphere, the variety of restaurants, the people and most of all the beautiful surroundings.
