Our luxury apartments consist of a fully equipped kitchen, separate lounge, sumptuous bedroom and a bathroom with a spa bath and steam shower. DSTV.
Our Eagle's Nest cottage is small, but it packs a punch, especially when it comes to the view. Featuring an open-plan bedroom with a small seating/eating area, kitchenette and a compact bathroom with a shower. It is perfect for those who want to commune with nature, but also enjoy some comfort at the same time.
Please note that due to the positioning of this cottage on the mountainside, numerous steps are necessary to gain access.
Popular as a romantic getaway, Little Sanctuary has hosted many marriage proposals and numerous happy anniversaries! Little Sanctuary is private and tranquil, accommodating only 10 guests at a time.

The area behind the property is a proclaimed mountain reserve with many miles of well-kept walking trails, as well as many species of birdlife, small game and a very large selection of wild flowers and indigenous herbs.
Property Facilities:In our hot summer months choose between one of our two private pools, set on different locations on the mountainside. An ideal setting to enjoy some glorious sun, drink of choice, the enveloping nature and spectacular views.
In winter you will find the famous Hot Springs a mere two minute walk away.
Little Sanctuary's expansive garden is for all to enjoy. Ideal for a peaceful walk in fresh air. clear blue skies and the sound of abundant birdsong.
A laundry service is available for long stays.
A five minute drive will take you to the centre of town where you are spoilt for a choice of activities. Art galleries, coffee shops and restaurant are dotted throughout the centre and outskirts of town. Situated on the longest wine route in the world, Route 62, spend the day wine tasting at the plentiful award-winning wine estates. If golf is your passion, our 9-hole golf course is less than five minutes away.
Montagu is fast becoming the destination for adventure activities such as rock climbing, mountain biking and many others. If however you are not that adventurous, there are plenty of gentle hiking trails on offer. Take a picnic basket and enjoy it at one of the waterfalls.
Take a drive through our breathtaking Koo Valley and stop off at the world-renowned Protea Tractor Trip. The tractor trip takes you to the summit of Arangieskop (1500m above sea level) where you can sip on our local Muscadel while admiring the awe-inspiring view. On your descent sample true South African fare - a traditional potjiekos.

Wow... what an amazing time we had. Cottage was spotless, beautiful scenery all around, loved the spa bath and steam shower. It was just what we needed for our 16th anniversary. Very affordable and the Awesome welcome from Darlene was the best, very kind and helpful assuring us their place is our place. Loved everything about Little Sanctuary, it is so worth it. Will definitely be back! Already shared the details with a few of my friends and family... Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful place to unwind and just relax!!!
The best chalet we have ever stayed in by far. 5 stars for everything. The accommodation unit, environment, the hospitality, the resort and the host Hilton exceeded our expectations by far. The indoor jacuzzi and steam shower was a real bonus. The entire complex including the gardens are kept in immaculate condition. This place is Real value for money and we were really sad to leave. We will definitely be coming back. A real piece of heaven and so serene and quiet

The tranquility, historical few places, cleanliness and friendly inhabitants.
Came up to Montagu for a climbing course with Blue Mountain Adventures and stayed at the Tolhuis with two friends. It was just perfect. Firstly the location, it was only mere meters away from our first day's location for climbing , LEGOLAND. We could literally stop and walk up to our accommodation for a coffee and lunch break! The place itself was just perfect for the 3 of us. Great little braai area where we enjoyed our evenings and the place is simple and humble yet stylish! The hosts, Michelle, Ivan, and Jason their 6-month-old puppy were just very warm and accommodating. Thank you!
