We offer 7 cosy stone cottages, each with braai facilities, fireplaces and countryside views

Such a peaceful, beautiful place. Off the beaten track and basic but exactly what we were looking for. Lovely views, good walks, quiet location perfect for a relaxing break. We will definitely be back.
We had a fabulous time at Treeferns spending a week in Brown Trout Cottage. The hosts are very hospitable without ever being intrusive and ready to help with anything you may need. Brown Trout Cottage was great for our family of 4. My children could go on walks on the farm by themselves and our dog had the time of his life going with them. The dams are very well looked after making it possible to fish from most angles from the banks. With the number of dams available for fishing, you are spoilt for choice and even if the Lodge is full on a long weekend, I believe that there is more than enough dams to cater for all anglers. The Lodge has a regular stocking program that include stocking with larger fish. I can wholeheartedly recommend Treeferns to people that want to get away from it all, whether to fish, to walk and explore, to run, to cycle or just to do nothing.
Our stay at Treeferns was amazing! Our dogs enjoyed it as much as we did. The rooms were perfect and well stocked with whatever you need. The owners are so friendly and accommodating (along with their dogs). And the walks there are really fun and stunning. We're definitely visiting again soon!

Comfortable and cozy, beautiful view. Only problem was it was lacking in “finishes” as they had recently renovated (which was nicely updated). No hooks for towels, short one bed side table, lacking in cooking utensils,no lamp in sitting area, no toilet paper holders etc. We caught no fish but really enjoyed our stay. The hosts need to also update the details on website. But otherwise we would definately go again.
Beautiful farm, disappointed in the fishing not sure if the dams are not stocked or if it was the wrong time of year.
Maria and Johnny, thank you once again for a super weekend! One can make it a romantic getaway, a fishing/ hiking experience, anything that one chooses to make of all that you have to offer. You both go out of your way to assist and accommodate where you can! Will definitely be back again. All the best for the wedding this weekend coming, I know it will be a success. Excellent service. Owners go above and beyond. Whilst fly fishing is great, the activities are also awesome. This is such a great time for family
Maria and Johnny were fantastic hosts and nothing that we asked for was too much for them. The house was comfortable and the renovations on the bathrooms were great. Whilst we had a great time I think it was our Staffie that had the best weekend. So much space to run and play.
