X-Ventures Family Break Away offers an ideal breakaway for your friends, family or colleagues, and is also great for team-building or just a fun day outdoors. X-Ventures is situated next to the N1 highway, neighbouring the airport, and a mere 9 km from Beaufort West. It is the ideal stop to take a break from a long road trip or break away for a weekend of fun.
X-Ventures Family Break Away offers camping and caravan sites, as well as self-catering accommodation. With only eight camping and caravan sites, you and your family are in for a treat. Enjoy a good night’s rest on our beautiful farm feeling, on green lawn sites. All of the sites have electricity, and our ablutions are clean with plenty of hot running water.
We also offer self-catering family units that can accommodate between four and seven guests. The units are situated next to the camping site and are surrounded by green lawns and karee trees. Stop and take a break while having fun with the family with all we have to offer. Braai packs can be arranged. Have a self-serve breakfast before you start the day.
There is plenty to do for young and old; there are green lawns and a play park with braai facilities. Horse riding and donkey cart rides can be arranged. The ‘Bus Stop’ is an open-air braai lapa, that is ideal for children’s birthday parties or team building events.
We also have the only operating paintball field in the Great Karoo. Having great facilities, with a spectator area that makes everyone part of the game, even mom and grandma viewing and supporting from the side, while having a braai or picnic. Close to the paintball field, we have a play park for the little ones with safe cable slide and tree house.
We have a second, bigger swimming pool with a water slide available.

Great place to stay in Beaufort West. Relaxing atmosphere, rustic, affordable accommodation, nice pool to use and tuck-shop is stocked with essentials. Amazing hosts who are friendly and welcoming.
I have visited this property twice in the last year and a half. I was very impressed with the facilities both times. The property is also well situated on the N1 for cross country travellers. The property is well looked after. The camping plots are nicely grassed and they provide gazebos for shade/protection from the dew. There is great typical Karoo birdlife in the early mornings and early evenings. There are taps and brazil places at each stand.
The only issue I have is that on each occasion I was there, there were other guests who were drunk and that didn't want to sleep and kept us up in the early hours of the morning with their shouting and loud music.
SO other than this problem its a great place!
As you drive into the property it looks a bit dodgy, but once in it has been well looked after. The stands are all grassed, and the pool with its slide is a real highlight. The owner hosts are friendly and very helpful. We will go there again :) Just remember to take mosquito stuff - lots! There is also a small dam with quite a few things for the kids to do around it
