Royal St. Andrews Hotel is the perfect destination for avid golfers as the hotel is situated within walking distance of the Royal Port Alfred Golf Club, one of the oldest and best known golf courses in South Africa. In addition the Gary Player designed Fish River Sun Country Club, and the new Belmont Valley Country Club are within a 45 minute drive.
The Royal St Andrews Hotel offers an array of modern, luxury accommodation to complement its rich heritage. This includes a superior Honeymoon Suite and 9 Newly Renovated Heritage Rooms - all set in the Original 1924 St. Andrews Mansions building - as well as 50 recently built contemporary rooms. The Hotel boasts 4 sets of inter-leading family rooms and two wheel chair friendly rooms. Room amenities and facilities include free high speed internet connection, individual climate control and in-room flat screen televisions with select DSTV channels, laptop safes, tea/coffee Stations and minibar fridges.

At very short notice and at the height of peak season in December, we booked a 3 night stay at The Royal St. Andrews Hotel in Port Alfred. We were slightly sceptical about our booking although the images appeared inviting. Due to a change in our plans we needed to alter our reservations. Beauty was extremely helpful and accommodating and made the changes immediately and without fuss. On arrival we were very pleasantly surprised. Everyone was so friendly and took the time to explain the amenities and surrounds in detail. Our room was spacious and clean with a large en-suite and cosy balcony. The coffee station was well stocked with extra coffee pods and all the various sachets packed neatly and all facing the right way (my OCD noticed this).
The in-house bar was well stocked and the food and service were great. The fine dining restaurant has a good selection of wines and caters for all palates.
Kelly's Blue Flag beach is in walking distance and is worth a visit.
We were extremely happy with our stay at The Royal St. Andrews Hotel and are planning on returning again in March for a longer stay. Highly Recommend
Very nice place to take some time away for couples, families or just friends.
Highlanders Pub was delightful.
Breakfast was a celebration every morning. Compliments to the Chef and staff for their excellent service and food. Loved the fact that breakfast is ordered fresh with delicious options to suit everyone’s taste buds.
Accommodation was modern, clean and comfortable.
