Welcome to Basterkloof Cottages.
The accommodation comprises 7 self-catering units. There are 2 units, the Mountain Cottages, located near the farm dam; a rondavel located close to the communal swimming pool, and two free-standing units, River and Horse Cottage located on the stud farm section. The Mountain Cottage and River Cottages are ideally suited and can accommodate 2 adults with 2 children, while the Rondavel and Horse Cottages are perfect for 2 adults.
Each unit features a kitchenette with basic self-catering appliances such as a bar fridge, a stove, while some units have access to braai facilities. Secure parking is also provided on the premises.
Guests can enjoy swimming, hiking, mountain biking, as well as olive oil and apple cider vinegar tasting on the farm. The stud farm section also offers one-on-one animal interactions.

We enjoyed a lovely farm experience. My dogs loved playing in the dam near our cottage.
Beautiful, quiet spot. Our grandchildren loved swimming and fishing in the dam. Cottage needs an upgrade.
Will highly recommend Basterskloof Cottages. Accommodation was perfect and the location was the best. If you are in need of peace and to reconnect with nature this is the place, it is not far from the city yet you feel as though you are very far away from it. Jacobus was a most friendly host and made us feel very welcome.

Peace and quiet.
The view of the mountains.
A small town with plenty of character. Absolutely loved how close the wine farms were, and the little stalls on the side of the road had lots to offer. Food at the Botriver Hotel was also great value for money, with super friendly staff!
