What a stunning find!
Setting - idyllic!
This slightly rustic, but eclectically, very comfortably, fun-furnished cabin is a gem! It lacks nothing. The kitchen is very well - equipped and has more than adequate crockery and cutlery and even beautifully sharp knives! (rare!) Coffee lovers are even well catered for, with a variety of coffee - making options supplied!
Deon is a very welcoming host, concerned about making guests feel welcome and ensuring a superbly comfortable stay.
Beds and linen lovely and a real treat was finding "Woollies" fragrant toiletries in the bathrooms-a lovely touch, instead of the usual hospitality fare! The wrap - around verandah provides glorious views - of mountains and the local game grazing below, while relaxing in hanging baskets - wonderful!! All just made for a perfect few days away! Thank you Deon!
Oh... and Nellie, the housekeeper is a dear!!
Highly recommended!

If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful mountain retreat - this fits the bill - on all levels. The position, with spectacular mountain views and local Springbok, zebra and Rooi Hartebees grazing and pronking on your doorstep, are hard to beat. The cabin itself, with its eclectic yet very comfortable furnishings was wonderful. The kitchen is very well - equipped and everything has been thought of - coffee machine, more than adequate crockery and cutlery - could go on and on. The toiletries - all lovely Woollies aromatics, as opposed to the usual below par cosmetics, were a welcome change. The wrap - around verandah is a dream, with its hanging basket chairs!! The main bedroom upstairs is spacious and well-appointed with lovely views.
The fireplace was a real treat on a cold winter's evening.
Deon is a very involved and welcoming host and Nellie a really lovely, helpful "caretaker"
A wonderful few days in the mountains - couldn't get better!
Highly recommended!

We loved our Sunday lunch at Tulbagh Hotel and Champagne tasting at Krone.
We went to Essere lodge for a weekend and loved it! Have done many wine tastings at the surrounding farms, love going there often.
