Somewhere between Paarl and Wellington, nestled on the slopes of the Du Toit Kloof Mountains, you'll find the beautiful wine estate Mooi Bly. It is a small family owned winery, with its vineyards on the slopes of the Du mountains in the Dal Josafat Area in Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa. Our wines have become renowned over the years in many countries. We believe that guests looking for a relaxing stay on a working wine farm, will definitely enjoy Mooi Bly.

We have a large animal family on the Mooi Bly Wine Estate, from dogs and cats, to chickens, horses, goats and cows. Although we are animal friendly unfortunately we do not allow you to bring your pet with.

Mooi Bly Estate has 5 unique thatched cottages, all with a "wine name". Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge/dining room, patio and braai(BBQ) facilities. All guests can enjoy a beautiful swimming pool, filled with fresh mountain water! All the cottages are free standing with a private patio. They also have fully equipped kitchens that has been upgraded and all cottages now have gas hobs to be more environmentally friendly. All the cottages are serviced daily except Sundays and public holidays. They are all stylish with an african touch and flair. The standard cottages can sleep up to 6 and are namely sauvignon, shiraz, pinotage and chardonnay. The family cottage, Chenin Blanc can sleep up to 6 people and the 2-sleeper cottage which is called merlot cottage is also available to our guests.

Although Paarl is fairly important to the economy of the Western Cape, it didn't loose much of its beauty. The streets that are lined with trees and the elegant facades give Paarl its rustic charm. The 11km long Main Street (only 10 minutes from our Estate), at the foot of Paarl mountain, is a good starting point for those who want to explore this region. At both sides of the street you will find beautiful 18th and 19th century Cape Dutch and Victorian houses.

We are proud to be able to say that the Paarl wine route is the second oldest of South-Africa. It has got a diversity of cellars, of which most are open to the public. But there is more than just Paarl. From our estate you can easily do day trips to Cape of Good Hope, Cape Town, Table Mountain, Robben Island, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Wellington, Hermanus and much more idyllic places, so the ideal base for those who want to scout the region.

The Spice Route is definitely a plus. But the town itself has some stunning spots. There are open green parks along the river which are perfect for picnics, and there are ample shops and restaurants to enjoy.

Central to the winelands, friendly people, country-side but still close to Cape Town.

Probably one of the best places to stay in the Western Cape. In the Winelands, close enough to CPT to not be in the rush, great mountains and views and activities.
