Halfway There Game Lodge is situated on a 800 ha of unspoilt bushveld within the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve.

We have four chalets, tastefully decorated in an old Hollywood theme, such as Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Audrey Hepburn and James Dean. We also have 6 newly added luxury tent houses.

We are a 4 star lodge offering relaxing, luxury accommodation under African skies. We have a wide range of animals such as elephants, rhinos, lions, buffalos, giraffes, eland, kudu, wildebeest, and zebra.

My stay was fantastic and I was very impressed with the hands on effort from the staff. There was always a smiling face to greet you even when I asked silly questions.
The place was at all times clean even to the point of cleaning the braais every morning. I was very impressed and plan to go back again

We had a very pleasant stay, Duncan who was on duty was very friendly and helpful, I had to leave and return several times and he answered the phone every time to open the main gate, even after seven on Sunday evening. We did not use the pool and bar area, but we stayed and braaied at the chalet, and went for several game drives.

Halfway there is a good place to book should you be wanting to experience the Dinokeng Game reserve. It is self catering, no restaurants on site, but there are plenty of places for you to eat out should you not want to light a fire. You have direct access to the park and can enjoy game rides at your leisure. The staff are friendly and our stay was a comfortable one.

A generator would go an extra mile, especially for the nights where there isn't power. However the place is neat, quiet, beautiful and wonderful staff...
