Bovlei Guest Farm is located 10 km from Clanwilliam, in the peaceful and tranquil Boskloof Valley, surrounded by the Cedarberg mountains.
The working citrus farm has been in the same Nieuwoudt family for more than a century and also hosts a very interesting restored water mill that dates back to 1850. Next to the old farmhouse is an old mill yesteryear used by the farmers of the kloof to mill flour for bread.
Self-catering accommodation at Bovlei is provided in the 100-year-old farmhouse which offers 4 double rooms, plus the extra option of a separate two-bedroom flat. The farm can accommodate a total of 12 guests. We only accommodate 1 booking at a time, so guests will always have the privacy of the farmyard to themselves. It is an ideal getaway for more than one family for a relaxed and peaceful outing.
Bovlei offers guests swimming in the Jan Dissels River or access to hiking trails, mountain trails, bird watching, flower season beauty and relaxed days on the spacious farm yard. The Boskloof Valley is rich in bird life, in the area 76 different bird species have already been spotted.

Awesome stay and place ,beautiful scenery would love to stay longer
Having spent 1 week travelling through the Cedarberg area, we arrived at Bovlei Guest Farm. The reception was excellent. It started with a phone call during the day to find out what time we would arrive. Upon arrival we were met by members of the Nieuwoudt family, who gave a a thorough briefing in a relaxed and professional manner. We were told to help ourselves to fresh oranges in the orchard and to make ourselves at home. The farm house is well equipped with all that one needed for a relaxing three days. We will definitely return when we next visit the area. Many thanks Peter
