Isinkwe Bush Camp offers budget accommodation, on a 22 ha tract of indigenous sand forest, 15 km South from Hluhluwe and +-50km from St Lucia town. A rustic bush camp located amidst world famous wildlife destinations such as Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Reserve and the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park.
We have one self-catering unit and the rest of the rooms make use of the communal self-catering kitchen and bbq area next to the swimming pool.
The Bush Camp has NO TV AND NO WIFI.

Only 25 minutes drive from the Memorial Gate, Northern entrance to the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Park and set within 22 hectares of indigenous sand forest, we offer the best natural bush experience at budget rates in the area.
On arrival you are greeted by friendly, shady trees forming a tranquil hide-away and an excellent base from which to explore the unspoilt African wildlife destinations of the Elephant Coast Tourism Region, including the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Park and the Greater Isimangaliso (St Lucia) Wetlands Park (World Heritage Site)
The camp abounds with resident birdlife, as well as other small animals such as duiker antelope, mongoose and tortoises making their appearance throughout the day.

Area Information:The Elephant Coast is bound in the north west by the Ubombo Mountains, in the east by the warm Indian Ocean and in the south by the Umfolozi River just below the St Lucia Estuary which is part of a World Heritage site. The area is steeped in history containing a number of paleantological sites of scientific importance.
This incredible area is a perfect destination for all ages with something for everyone. There are dozens of game reserves, beautiful beaches, deep sea fishing and diving on a number of reefs, mountain trails, cultural activities and a number of historical sites. This is one of the few destinations where a visitor can see the Big 5 in a game reserve, and within a short half hour's drive, be able to watch dolphins and whales.

The word "ISINKWE" is the Zulu translation for Bushbaby. These interesting nocturnal animals are classified under the primate family and frequent the lodge at night. We are close to several tourist attractions including the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Reserve, Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park, Dumazulu Cultural Village and Emdoneni Cheetah Project.
Isinkwe Safaris specializes in full day open-vehicle tours and has been operating wildlife safari trips since 1995. Our passionate field guides are very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the region and spend many hours guiding tours to Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Park. All Isinkwe Guides are fully qualified and registered.
3 HOUR HLUHLUWE SAFARI
Departs at sunrise to enter the reserve as the gates open or enjoy a late afternoon game drive. Spend 3 hours in the park in an open 4x4 vehicle, spotting wildlife with the assistance of your qualified field guide. The tour includes Park entrance fees. All tours depart and return Isinkwe Safaris Bushcamp. Mornings and evenings can be cool, so dress warmly.
Dumazulu Cultural Village
Resident Zulu families, form part of a "living museum" and carry out age old manufacturing traditions which include spear, shield and clay pot making, basket weaving, bead work and Sangoma(Traditional Healer) bone throwing. The sound of stamping feet and beating drums fill the air as you are entertained by Zulu dancers and warriors.
Emdoneni Cheetah Project
View some of Africa's indigenous wild cats, as you view them while they are feeding. Cheetahs, Caracals, Servals and African Wild Cats form part of the project. During feeding time you are briefed on the background information of conservation of the Cheetah.
Ilala Weavers
Ilala Weavers is open 7 days a week and is situated close to the Hluhluwe village. Experience the soul of Africa and her people through their hand crafts. Visit the home of Zulu basket weaving as well as the Museum & Craft Village, with incredible examples of original African crafts and artefacts.
This roadside market is a haven for African arts & crafts collectors and will prove to be a delightful shopping experience. Choose from an array of locally handcrafted crafts and curios, and fill up on your fresh fruit basket while your there.
