“We stayed 3,5 weeks in the house and had a fabulous time. We were two families with small kids and the place was perfect for that. The house is situated in a quiet neighborhood on a little hill. Natalie and her husband Garth welcomed us at the house when arrived. The house was nicely cleaned and tidy. Natalie had arranged travel cots and high chairs for the babies which was really great. The house had all equipment we needed. We enjoyed the barbecue very much and spent a lot of time on the patio in front of the house. The view of the ocean and Simon’s town from the patio was spectacular. The location is great, it takes 10 minutes to walk to Boulders beach for a swim and 10 min to the little center and harbor for restaurants and cafes. It is also a good spot for trips to Cape Town, Cape point, Stellenbosch and other nice places. You do need a car for that though. We are very satisfied with our stay and also with the hosts Natalie and Garth. They arranged everything we asked for and also extra cleaning at no extra cost. Sometimes the response to our questions via sms were slow but instead they came to the house and fixed it. We can definitely recommend the place and hope to come back in the future.” Caroline

It really is a must see town, there is a scratch patch with the most beautiful stones. Boulders beach is a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the penguins and plenty of shops to browse, plus a very nice yacht club with plenty of spots to choose from to grab something to eat.

All the wonderful things to see and do!! We stayed at Boulders Beach Lodge where, from the deck, we saw penguins walking in the car park!! Really awesome stuff!!! Boulders Penguin Colony is something else. Do yourself a favour and get there!

Then there's the Jubilee Square Craft Market and the Harbour (we liked Fran's Place and her story), we visited the Toy Museum, danced to live music at 2 and 6 Pence, enjoyed the elegance of the Lord Nelson Inn where we had pizza and watched the Champions League final, spent a laid back afternoon sitting at the Black Marlin having wine and oysters and just watching the boats down below and then views, views and more views!! Absolutely breathtaking!

We'll be coming back to camp at Smitswinkel Bay (bucket list stuff!) and at another time at Miller's Point, can't wait!!!

P.S. Was surprised and sad to see that the British Hotel is closed. I really wanted to have a sort of tour of the inside if they'd have allowed me. I would appreciate it if you could let me know what is happening there?
