Moonriver Mountain Retreat is nestled on the edge of a large secluded valley, in the heart of the Waterberg Biosphere of Limpopo, South Africa and is part of Waterberg Bushveld Retreat. Moonriver Mountain Retreat is a self-catering/self-service establishment, 3 hours drive from Pretoria. It offers guests spectacular views of the amazing valley and surrounds, as well as interesting walking or strenuous hiking for the fitter visitors! During Summer, there are numerous springs and water streams to explore in different valleys, with abundant wildlife, birds and flowers. The Main Lodge with fully equipped Kitchen is open to guests and is the only unit serviced during the week and Saturdays.

Property Facilities:
The chalets have been designed with total glass frontage, to take maximum advantage of the breathtaking views and are situated away from the Main Lodge and private. The Main Lodge has a fully equipped Kitchen, with Fridge, Gas Oven and Microwave. Guest Toilet. Large Lounge/Dining room areas and outside deck, Boma and beautiful swimming pool.
Bath- en swimming towels are provided.
No Shop or Restaurant on the property.
No wood/charcoal /ice are provided.
Guests must bring their own wood/charcoal and ice.

The three Chalets and Main Lodge are situated on the ridge of the Mountain. The Safari Chalet can accommodates two persons. Open plan bed/lounge areas with fireplace and ceiling fan. En-suite bathroom. Small Kitchenette with Fridge and Mini Oven with two plates. No Microwave. No vehicle can drive to the Chalet but it is within walking distance of the Parking Area and Main Lodge. Not suitable for elderly people. Sunrise Chalet can accommodates two persons. Open plan bedroom/lounge areas and separate bathroom. Open fireplace and ceiling fan. Small Kitchenette with fridge and Mini Oven with two plates. No Microwave. Private deck and portable braai. Only 4x4 vehicles can drive close to the Chalet but it is within walking distance of the Parking Area and Main Lodge. Waterhole Chalet have two bedrooms and can accommodates four persons. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge and gas oven. No Microwave. Small sitting room with open fire place and ceiling fan. Private deck and portable braai. Only 4x4 vehicles can drive close to the Chalet, but it is within walking distance from the Parking Area and Main Lodge.
