the pics of Musselcracker look great and the reality is, it is a really great place. perfectly located, stylishly furnished but very comfortable and as Karen (host) says they want to make it "your home" for the stay. Indeed it is. Breakfasts are very tasty including delicious home made baked bread, pastries, etc. Karen and Rod are perfect, friendly hosts. Highly recommend it.

Excellent host who made you feel at home and taking care of all your needs. Will definitely recommend her guest house to friends.

Located in a private security village and golf estate, on the west coast of South Africa. 1 ½ hours away from Cape Town.

Musselcracker is a family run business, right on the beach,with our very own private boardwalk,we invite you to relax and enjoy the tranquil beauty of our beautiful coast in style. Spend beautiful evening, capturing the magnificent sunsets with a glass of wine or a sherry, and just enjoying our peaceful paradise!
Within walking distance is a 9 hole Golf Course as well as the Shelley Point country club.

The home is positioned perfectly for watching the humpback and the southern right whales, while the dusky dolphins play nearby.
The west coast national park, is also not far, and is an absolute must for bird enthusiast, while not forgetting to watch out for all the flamingos to. The berg river is where you will find more than 190 different bird species, while always lots to do. Can’t wait to welcome you to our little paradise! The west coasts best kept secret!!

We enjoyed a night at the Mussel Cracker, very friendly host, it was as if we were staying with friends. Beautiful view and best of all, right on the sea. I enjoyed to just to sit and watch the ocean, see the marine life come and go. Dolphins playing right in front of me, birds heading to their daily tasks, seals popping up every now and again. Waves splashing against the shore. Very peaceful. And there's a little heated splash pool to enjoy all this in as well.
