Knoppiesdoorn is located in Marloth Park, between Malelane and Komatipoort in Mpumalanga. It is a popular stopover for tourists travelling to the Kruger National Park, Swaziland, and Mozambique.

The house can accommodate 12-14 guests and comprises 5 bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and living area. The lower level of the house is wheelchair friendly and has two bathrooms – one with a shower and one with a bath. The main bedroom contains a queen-size bed. The second bedroom contains a double bed and a single bed. The third bedroom contains 3 single beds. The fourth bedroom has a double bed. The fifth bedroom has a double sleeper couch. The main bedroom and second bedroom is downstairs while all the other bedrooms are upstairs with one shared bathroom fitted with a shower.

The kitchen is fitted with a stove, an oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and cutlery and crockery. There is also a breakfast bar with a bench. The house has a lovely outside area which has a splash pool and braai area plus an outside wash-up area and working tops for outside dining.

Local amenities in Marloth Park: Marlothi Shopping Centre – restaurant, mini supermarket, petrol station, liquor store, bakery and butchery (Olifant Street). Bush Centre – consisting of a butchery, mini supermarket, hardware store, Field Security offices, estate agent, restaurant, pub, public swimming pool, ATM and a liquor store.

Autumn and Winter are dry and the bush is less dense, which makes game viewing easier. Animals visit the water holes more often due to lack of abundant water in the bush. This is the perfect place to stand a chance to spot four of the renowned Big Five.

Nice and quiet, with game walking around the area.
We saw Impala, Kudu, Warthog, Zebra, Giraffe and Wildebeest.
A short drive of 3 minutes takes you to the Olifants river where you can watch all animals going down to the river to drink.
Its also only 17km from Olifants Gate at Komatipoort to go into the Kruger Park.
