Sonnekus, a gracious old home, circa 1926, sits at the base of the St James Mountain with the waters of False Bay at her feet.

The Guest House has been lovingly restored with guest's comfort in mind and each room has been individually styled drawing inspiration from the sea and mountain views.

In Room Facilities:

All rooms can either have twin beds or King size bed. En-suites,3 bathrooms have showers over luxury corner baths, 2 have separate bath and shower, and 1 has a shower only.
Soap, Shower Gel, Hand/body lotion,
shower cap, Tissues, Cotton buds, Cotton wool balls and hand sanitizer
in all the Bathrooms.
In Winter all rooms have heaters, Down duvets and Electric blankets on the beds.

Area Information:

St James is situated between Muizenberg and Kalk Bay on the False Bay Coast of the Cape Peninsula It is an old suburb with many fine Historic Houses. The Cecil John Rhodes Cottage is one of many National Monuments along the St James main road.
Whale watch (in season), take leisurely strolls along the promenade, sun bathe on the beach.

Watch the local fishermen landing their catch of the day at Kalk Bay Harbour and then enjoy eating at one of the many fine restuarants in the area.

Easy access to all major Tourist attractions e.g. Table Mountain, Cape Point and the Winelands, and a wide variety of interesting places in and around the Western Cape

What a fantastic bed and breakfast, accommodation is absolutely amazing and such hospitable owners, my colleague who is ill even got looked after with meds...so central to every thing...great breakfast, definitely our go to place. ..really cozy and quaint
