I have read previous reviews about Annie and her staff and I can now corroborate all that was said. From the moment we arrived, we felt cossetted and cared for by all the staff. As a person with mobility problems, the staff were so kind and considerate of me and my husband and I say a great thank you to them all, Annie, John, Phindi, Nicki and Mary. Margaret Hooker

We loved the clean, spacious and well equipped house. Annie is a very kind hostess, ensuring that her guests are happy at all times. We enjoyed nature, animal sightings and the silence immensely and spent many hours on the wonderful patio and around the fire. The ample supply of fire wood was also much appreciated. We are planning on returning to Kingfisher Creek during 2019. This is where one finds peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings.

We cannot recommend this great Bush retreat enough! We have just returned from a wonderful 4 day stay. It was our second visit since opening their doors to visitors a mere 6 months ago, and we will most certainly be back. There is loads to do if you’re the adventurous type (still dying to walk with the Lions), or if you just want a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can simply put your feet up and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Bush. And best of all, it’s a stone’s throw away from the Kruger.

As for the accommodation, we stayed in a beautifully, fully equipped family chalet with loads of space for our kids to just “be kids”.

Our hosts, John and Annie, were incredibly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

You cannot go wrong with Kingfisher Creek

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kingfisher creek at Geurnsey private nature reserve. Annie Williams was a wonderful host along with her beautiful family and 3 friendly dogs. Our stay was comfortable and we really felt like we were at home. Will recommend Kingfisher Creek to anyone who is looking for a quiet yet at home getaway. Thanks Annie for being such a wonderful host. Will definitely give you 5 stars.

Superb location close to the ‘Orpen Gate’ of the Kruger National Park, the Panorama Route which encompasses the Blyde River Canyon, and the bustling tourist town of Hoedspruit.
Nestled inside the Guernsey Private Nature Reserve, Kingfisher Creek offers comfortable accommodation for the traveller who is looking to escape the stresses of busy city life. Abundant birdlife in the mature garden, together with the gentle sound of the water fountain flowing this is escapism at its best. Sit in your private boma which overlooks the animals casually making their way to the water trough for an afternoon drink and as the sunsets over the reserve, have a gin & tonic and listen to the sounds of the bush. On occasion, the lions on the neighbouring Thornybush can be heard calling .
The cottage consists of two bedrooms both with private bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king sleigh bed. The bathroom has a bath and a shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a single bed and the bathroom has a shower.
The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering. The kitchen is open-plan to the lounge area. A thatched roof provides shade from the heat and ensures outdoor dining is available throughout the year.
The cottage has a private boma area with a picnic bench, built-in braai, a fire pit and built-in seating. The braai area looks out onto the bush where giraffe, zebra, antelope and the occasional buffalo can be seen grazing

This place is an absolute treasure and a must for anyone looking for fabulous and well located accommodation. I stayed here earlier this year and loved it so much I'm going back in December!! Annie was wonderful and incredibly helpful. It's perfectly located for Hoedspruit Eastgste airport, Kruger and the Blyde River. The place is very peaceful apart from the wide array of wildlife and colourful birds. Bring your camera!! Plenty to do in the region as well.
