There is a lovely rock swimming pool for those hot summer days. The farm has a beautiful river front with a variety of wildlife roaming around. This was a great stop-over. Friendly management and staff(thank you, Lodewyk), an attractive room and a good restaurant all made for an enjoyable stay.
The lodge is currently being upgraded, but will become a destination in its own right once the alterations and improvements are complete.
For nature lovers, the property offers unique easy-driving access to seven kilometers of pristine riverine bush along the southern bank of the Limpopo river. During my all-too-short visit I found some really interesting bird species: storks, vultures, eagles, owls and waders, to name a few. I am confident that a visit in the rainy season would deliver a bird list of well over a hundred species in a day. An unexpected and memorable experience.

Lephalale (Ellisras) is very convenient for the border posts to Botswana.
Fabulous. 4 out of 5

Construction activities in the region makes it difficult for general tourism. Shopping Centres are of high quality but very crowded at times. Lots of places just outside of Lephalale offers typical African experience and is perhaps better for tourism.
Okay. 3 out of 5
