Tshima Bush Camp is a small, intimate camp close to Maun, the iconic safari town of Botswana. It is situated on 30 hectares of natural bush with direct access to the Nhabe river. Our Meru style tents provide comfort and lots of privacy. Walking trails invite guests to explore the area. You may find duiker, aardvark and a huge variety of birds. From time to time, elephants pass by as well and hippos inhabit the river.
The camp serves as an excellent spot to spend the night while travelling between various treasures in Botswana.
Furthermore, it is a perfect base for exploring nearby natural treasures such as the world-famous Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve and Nxai Pan National Park. The village of Komana is located close by and can be explored to get a glimpse of Botswana village life.
Tshima Bush Camp is easy to reach via a good quality tar road, just a 25-minute drive from Maun.
A delicious, picnic style breakfast is always included in our rates. Breakfast will be served in the privacy of your own tent. Every night, a 3-course dinner will be served in our garden under the stars, after a drink (or 2!) at our fire place. Bush babies jump around and are frequently seen during dinner.
Our camp is located on its own 30 hectares of natural bush and has direct access to the Nhabe river. This a perfect spot for walks and sun downers. A vast number of birds inhabit the area. Hippos inhabit the river and elephants are spotted as well. Vegetation is varied as well including our very own baobab tree.
In Room Facilities:
Our Kalahari-sand coloured, Meru-style tents are luxurious and fitted with an en suite bathroom with (hot) shower and toilet. The tents are situated in the middle of the bush amidst the original, un-landscaped vegetation. A private area around each tent allows you to enjoy and relax in nature. The tents are also positioned away from each other, therefore ensuring complete privacy. The dawn chorus of francolins and guinea fowl will be your natural wake-up call!
