Acacia Garden Cottage is situated in the suburb of Glenwood in Durban, is close to the University of KZN (UKZN), the Medical School and the Durban University of Technology (DUT), as well as the International Convention Centre (ICC). It is within easy walking distance to a shopping centre as well as to many restaurants, pavement cafes, food stores and banks. It is a 20-min car trip to the beach, and 45-min drive from King Shaka International Airport.
The veranda overlooks a small swimming pool and indigenous garden.
Durban, a coastal city in eastern South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province, is known for its African, Indian and colonial influences. Refurbished for soccer’s 2010 World Cup, the seafront promenade runs from uShaka Marine World, a huge theme park with an aquarium, past the Moses Mabhida Stadium to the Blue Lagoon Estuary.

Acacia Garden Cottage is air-conditioned and self-catering. It has one bedroom with double bed, desk and broadband internet access; en-suite shower with toilet/washbasin, and kitchenette. While there is wi-fi, there is no TV. Most guests come for work-purposes, and use their laptops for news-broadcasts, weather reports, directions etc.
Davenport Square Shopping Centre is only 500 m away. Several restaurants are within walking distance. Close by are Bulwer Park attracting fitness enthusiasts; the KwaZulu-Natal Society of Arts (KZNSA) with its art gallery, restaurant and shop, well-known for tourist gifts; the Phanzi Museum renown for indigenous African artifacts; the beautiful Durban Botanical Gardens; the beach and uShaka Marine World, within 15 minutes' drive.
