All bookings accepted by Silver Fig (PTY) LTD are subject to these terms and conditions, that are deemed to be accepted in full by the Guest. Acceptance of a booking, whether in writing or provisional verbally, followed by the provision of the deposit to secure the reservation will create a legally binding contract between Silver Fig and the person from whom the bookings has been accepted (the guest). Thus, once Silver Fig has issued confirmation of the booking the guest/s are responsible for the whole cost of the accommodation reserved. Silver Fig reserves the right to change rooms to accommodate extra reservations. We cannot be held responsible for correspondence which is lost or delayed via electronic mail. Silver Fig and the Guest are the parties to the contract. If a third party ordered the room(s) on behalf of the Guest, this party and the Guest shall be jointly and severally liable to Silver Fig for all obligations arising under the Guesthouse accommodation Terms & Conditions.
A SMS will be sent to all arriving guests - please save this number on your phone - call the number you received the SMS from at the main gate; main gate will open. IT IS NOT AN ACCESS CODE.
For the enjoyment of all guests, noise restrictions apply after 9pm. Excessive noise is not tolerated as we have several guests. We ask you to respect each other concerning cleanliness of the common areas and noise level. If we receive complaints, you will be given a warning. Further complaints are subject to the termination of stay. We reserve the right to end a reservation if a guest becomes a disturbance/nuisance to others including management. In the event of a guest/s, smoking in a room Silver Fig will add an extra nights accommodation value to the booking, in order to ventilate the room prior to new guest/s taking up the room, plus an extra charge of R500 towards the cost of complete cleaning & steaming of the room and laundering of the all the fabrics & bedspreads. This fee will be payable before departure.
When booking is made, 50% of the total booking value is required within 48 hours of making the reservation in order to confirm the reservation. Remainder of booking value to be settled a week (7 days) PRIOR TO arrival. Cancellation Policy - Notice Period: 7 Days or less, no show or early departure - 100% of full booking value is non-refundable. 8 - 14 days 75% of booking value is non-refundable. 15 - 31 days 50% of booking fee is non-refundable. 32 days or more 10% of total booking value is non-refundable. BLOCK BOOKINGS CARRY A 50% NON-REFUNDABLE VALUE DUE TO TURNING OTHER GUESTS AWAY. • There will be NO refunds if your stay is cut short for any reason. We strongly recommend that holiday cancellation insurance be taken out by guests.
Force Majeure Event - means an event beyond the control of the Authority and the Operator, which prevents a Party from complying with any of its obligations under this Contract: - In the event of any FORCE MAJEURE Silver Fig will offer vouchers for the any and all guests having made payment. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. Silver Fig, has no control over the electricity supply, the roads or the water supply. We will endeavour to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We do have a generator on site.
Silver Fig (PTY) LTD, accepts EFT payments. Banking details are listed below. Credit Card facilities are available at the Guest House, for any extras. We strive to provide our guests with an exceptionally clean, safe, and friendly experience. The following Guest House Policy/House Rules have been established based on industry standards, management and operational procedures, and our personal experience of owning and operating Guest Houses. The Guest House Policy/House Rules are considered a part of our reservation agreement with you. As our guest, by reading and signing your guest registration you are agreeing to abide by all of our Policy/House Rules, terms and conditions, and procedures. These Policy/House Rules are presented here to help promote our guests’ safety and enjoyment and to ensure that each guest is aware of the understandings between the Guest House and the guest. Our Policy/House Rules may change from time to time, so please check back often.
Breakfast and/or other meals paid for in advance must be taken at the place and times stipulated. No refunds or part refund can be given for breakfast/meals not taken at the times and place stipulated, irrespective of the reason. Vegetarian, special needs and requests are to be clearly stated by the guest upon the time of making the booking. While Silver Fig will endeavour to meet such requests we cannot guarantee to satisfy all or any such requests made. Please ensure you confirm times/places of all meals taken.
For security reasons only registered guests are allowed; if you wish to entertain any other person/s this must be done with permission, and the said person/s are only permitted in the guest lounge or outside areas. Silver Fig is listed as pet friendly accommodation. Please advise us on your intention to bring your pet. We ask owners to bring the pets own suitable bedding, cages, bowls etc required to make your pets stay comfortable. We have our own resident animals, we implore all guests to treat our pets/animals with kindness. Please do not feed our animals. All dogs, cats, caged birds and any other well-behaved pets welcome all year round. Dogs are not permitted on the furniture and pets must be free of ticks and fleas on arrival. The guest house is enclosed offering lovely walks for all pet owners. Dogs must be walked on leashes. Guests must clean up after their pets and are required to pick up the poop. Consideration must be given to other guests’ dogs, cats and resident farm animals. Please don’t let the animal lie on upholstered furniture or beds. Pets stay FREE.
Bookings are deemed cancelled if not taken up by 15H00 unless prior notification has been given of late arrival. Prior to check out a room check will be done for both the guesthouse & the log cabins, please ensure any faults are reported to reception to avoid any discrepancies. Where a party/group block booking (a party being where more than 1 (one) room is booked), the party leader will be responsible for the conduct and actions of all of the members of the party. The person making the group booking is ultimately responsible for full payment for all rooms and any extras.
Rooms are available for occupation from 14h00 (2pm) on the day of arrival, should you not be able to check-in at this time, please contact us to arrange a late-arrival check in. We do not offer 24 hour reception. Rooms must be vacated and keys returned by 10:30am on day of departure. Full Venue bookings where rooms need to be changed for new guests arrivals, must be vacated by 10am for house keeping.
The nightly accommodation includes a daily service of the rooms and change of linen and towels on the discretion of management. If room change is required more than indicated, this will be for the guest's account.
Keys will be provided for the rooms and are to be returned in line with the departure terms as above. For any keys not returned, there will be a R800.00 charge. Please do not remove any items from the rooms - room keys are to be given in at the office prior to departure. Property left at Silver Fig will be kept for a month, after that time it will be destroyed if it does not appear to have value or given to a local charity shop. If you require items to be sent to you we will return the items only upon request and at your own risk and expense. A written confirmation agreeing to cover the cost of the postage and packing must be sent to Silver Fig.
Property Use & Conditions - The Guest is responsible for all valuables, Silver Fig (PTY) LTD has a lockable safe available for Guests, inquire at reception. Silver Fig (PTY) LTD will not be held responsible for any personal injury, loss or damage to personal effects or person/s whatsoever (whether direct, indirect or consequential), arising at the room, communal area or grounds. Smoking is not permitted in the rooms. Smoking is permitted at designated areas.
Rates are per night, per person. Breakfast is available but not included in the rate, please inquire about breakfast if required. Please monitor misbehavior of your children to prevent any breakages - BREAKAGES will be charged for. Should the damage come to light after the guest/s have departed, Silver Fig reserves the right to make a charge to the guest. All costs incurred in the recovery of monies due will be added to the amount owed. These costs will include legal fees, debt collection fees, small claim fees, sundry disbursements, late payments surcharges and administration fees spent to recover the debt. Silver Fig will make every effort to keep any of the cots that the guest/s would incur to a minimum.
Person/s responsible for any group bookings and take full responsibility for the whole group. Group Booker to ensure the following: Names of their guests, telephone numbers of their guests, as well as the explanation of the terms & conditions to be passed on to their guests. Should a reservation be for a single person and a second person occupies the room, the balance will be billed to the individual. The Guest will also be responsible for the additional charges of the second person.
Reservation requests followed by a quotation cannot be guaranteed. Please re-confirm availability if quotation is accepted before making any payments. It is the guests responsibility to ensure the booking is all in order a week before arrival.
