Hobbit House is located in a quaint village, Kaapsehoop, set high up in the mountains where time slows down and the stresses of modern daily life are are calmed. This is a place to heal your soul and soak in the energy of this magical village. Stunning views, incredible bird life and gorgeous walks.

Come and experience the joy of real village life on this beautiful mountain.

Hobbit House has three bedrooms with one bathroom and it can accommodate up to six guests. The first bedroom contains a double bed and the second and third bedrooms contain twin single beds each. The bathroom is fitted with a shower and a bath. All linen and towels are provided.

The living area is open-plan with a comfortable couch, a TV, a dining area as well as a fireplace to keep you warm and cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, a microwave, a stove, an oven, crockery, and cutlery as well as a scullery.

Nearby activities/attractions:
Picnics at the Pear Orchard (beautiful venue for weddings and special events)
Tours to Adams’s calendar, and ghost, and bird watching tours can be arranged, as well as scouter tours and history tours.

The local pub Salvador is a great place to get to know the locals.
We have a village market on Sundays and there are a number of artists in the village that will gladly show you their work.

We unfortunately did not stay in THE ROYAL COACH. The train was send to Johannesburg for restoration, but our friendly host moved our reservation to her beautiful HOBBIT HOUSE. What a pleasant and relaxing stay we had.
