Set in the Drakenstein Valley surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes, lush gardens and vines, the original farmstead complex is now a national monument with a rich and intriguing history of more than 300 years. Today, Boschendal is a Cape Winelands icon and an acclaimed wine and food destination. Our vineyards and fruit trees have been joined by vegetable gardens and a growing herd of free range, 100% pasture fed Angus cattle reflecting our commitment to serving wholesome farm-to-table food.
The Hugenote Monument is 18 km away

Franschhoek Reviews
Clean, feels safe and beautiful views and hikes.
The village vibe and how safe it is. Also, everyone can walk to where they want to go, instead of getting into a car every time.
Weather, shops, restaurants. Access to vineyards, trips, park run.
Holiday atmosphere without crowded chaos.
Wine farms, street cafes, Hussar's Restaurant, cleanliness.!
Beautiful area. So much good wine and food and great accom!
There are a vast variety of coffee shops and restaurants, the sky is the limit when it comes to satisfying your tummy.
What a fantastic experience on the Franschoek Wine Tram! 10 stars from us. Take some time to research which estates you would like to visit to choose the best route. We chose the Grey route and stopped at Franschoek Cellar, Leopards Leap and Rickety Bridge as these were all child friendly options. We will definitely be back without the kids ;) Also, great service and food at the River Café.
Views, restuarants, wine.
Wine tram. Conveniently located one hour outside of Cape Town.
