Area Information:

Nestled in 3000 hectares of unspoilt savannah thornveld close to Kimberley, (only 12km. out of Kimberley) Marrick Safari can be found. Vast expanses of space and silence provide endless opportunities for returning to nature. Activities at Marrick Safari are specifically designed to enable guests to get as close as possible to this large, unique ecosystem, almost free from human interference.

Property Facilities:

There are many activities on offer such as guide Game drives, Night Drives (FAMOUS) cycling, hiking, and the hides provide great opportunities to view animals and birds. Marrick Safari also offers 2 conference rooms which host weddings and functions. We also have a Shooting Range with a Gunshop on the premises.

Attractions:

Guided Game drives are hugely rewarding with large herds of indigenous antelope to be viewed in their natural habitat. Join the early morning drive or late afternoon drive. The area is well known amongst bird lovers and a wide variety of bird life, including birds endemic to the area, can be spotted here.
Sunsets at Marrick are magical and there is nothing more relaxing after a hot day in the bush than sipping an ice cold drink next to the pool. Enjoy dinnertime around an open fire while chatting to friends and other guests before retiring to your cottage for a good night's rest.

This was our first stay at Marrick. We spent three nights there and loved every minute of it. We stayed in the self-catering Guinea Fowl Cottage which was not five star or flashy, but was comfortable, clean and more than adequate for our party of 6. The owners of Marrick, Trevor and Hubre, and their son Mike went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. From the game drives and the early morning birding drive which Trevor especially arranged for us, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately due to the wet conditions we were unable to go on the night drive, so we missed seeing the shy nocturnal animals (a good reason for going back!). We did however, have the added bonus of seeing some sable antelope being darted and relocated to one of the other camps on Marrick. We would definitely like to return.
