Reviews
Amazing. This place has the great outdoors covered. From huge open spaces, hikes and walks to kayaking on the dam, this place is a beauty. The cottage Hedada we stayed in was fab. Huge infact. Big lounge, gorgeous bathroom with whirlpool bath and walk in shower, 2 bedrooms, great kitchen and outdoor patio with braai. The views are stunning and the staff warm and welcoming. We also pre ordered the breakfast basket which was the perfect start to our day. Beautiful area!
Location is excellent, very peaceful and the grounds and facilities very well maintained. Pool area is exceptional!
One of the very few benefits of Level 1 lockdown was being able to book a cottage at this wonderful private nature reserve at short notice. What a wonderful place and the warmest possible welcome. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped with even a hoopoe nest on the steep! We enjoyed the braai basket option on our first night which was delicious and simplified our catering. The pool was a welcome relief on the first afternoon and the Karin / Hermit Trails a treat the next day. Our visit was just too short. We will return for a longer stay to explore more of this beautifully tended piece of heaven on earth.

I had not seen a hoopoe before and we had one right outside our door. It's a fantastic little area with incredible privacy and the fireplace was a welcome addition on the cold nights. WiFi only worked outside of fig cottage though.
Baie dankie weereens. Onthou net jou hekkode voor jy op die grondpad ry, want daar is ononderbroke selfoonsein. Ons sal definitief terugkeer.

Robertson Reviews
Hiking trails and restaurants.
Plenty to do. Abundance of wine farms. Beautiful views.
Quaint little town. Friendly people. Lots to do.
Ek is gebore en getoeë van Robertson. Dit sal altyd my hartsplekkie wees. Was aangenaam verras om Die Laaitjie op jul webtuiste te sien. Dit was oorspronklik my oorlede pa se suster en haar man se plaas. My pa het op die aangrensende plaas geboer. Ek en my broers het saam met die neefs Die Laaitjie plat gespeel. Die waterval was daardie jare al 'n groot aantrekkingskrag vir kuiergaste. Oujaarsaande is groot makietie hier gehou. Selfs die dorps inwoners het kom meedoen. Dankie vir die mooi fotos. Ek kon so bietjie in my kinderskoene terug stap.
Robertson is really a gem in the Cape Winelands, great wine tasting and dining (Christina's @ Van Loveren, Bourbon Street, Four Cousins, Excelsior) experience all in an authentic environment. A short drive from CT, ideal for a relaxing weekend at a small town pace, to recharge your batteries.
