Waterberg Cottages is a family-orientated establishment and we have many activities to keep the kids occupied. these include our 15m heated solar pool, trampoline, children’s adventure village, and sand play areas.
We offer a range of marked walking trails where guests can enjoy relaxing walks in beautiful bush and stunning views, and a range of dams that guests are welcome to fish in. Other activities include Hippo viewing, donkey cart rides, horse riding at the world-famous Horizon Horseback Adventures.
Our rather rough tennis court is also great for letting off steam.

Place is beautiful. All staff very friendly and helpful.
On Sunday around 12h00 the solar inverter and batteries burnt. within 30 minutes they connected us onto a generator for electricity. I will definitely return to Waterberg cottages and will try their Glamping tents as well. walking trials is clearly marked and easy to find.
It was just a good Experience.
We stayed in the Butterfly Cottage, The accommodation was comfortable and clean and the whole property was very well kept with beautiful gardens. The highlight was the personnel, especially Xoli and Wouter van der Merwe. They are true diamonds and couldn't do enough for us. But the road to get there (the last 9 km ) is straight from hell. You need at least a 4x4. We got stuck in sand and had to be towed out by Wouter. Otherwise a delightful stay.
This was by far the best getaway ever. The hospitality was amazing. From the moment we got there, they made us feel at home. They upgraded our cottage for free because we were the only guests there. The cottage was absolutely stunning , the views of the area too. There are many animals (dogs, horses etc) on the property that are very friendly and make the stay better. Everyone was willing to cater to all our needs (and we didn’t need a lot because of how well prepared everything was). Each and every member of the staff was friendly and really entertaining. We had a braai with them on one of the nights. It was just great. Definitely planning to go back soon.
The place was so amazing and its a place where you can go with your whole family. The heated pool is so amazing. my wife and I are planning to go back again before the end of 2019.

What we had in Vaalwater was amazing! Things that everyone wanna see but my wish is to visit one of the best Lodges in our area which is "Tshwene lodge".
I definitely recommend it, we had so much fun and enjoyed the swimming, fishing and walks around the lodge. Its clean and beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. We cannot wait to go back again.
My goodness! What a heavenly place! We booked Eagles Nest and it was everything as advertised and more. Gréât cycling and game driving. The view is just incredible from our beds. The house felt just like home - cosy, inviting, easy to live in. The night skies were magical. Sunrise and sunsets breath taking. Wonderful friendly staff. Thank you!!
