Stanford is a people's village where everyone still greets you and will start the accidental cobversation. You can safely walk the streets, canoe down the river (or book a bird-watching river cruise), swim in the river... Children still skateboard in the streets, dogs socialise leash-free on the river walking trail... Or you can just sit on the verandah (or in front of the fire) sipping your wine and enjoying scrumptious local home-made food bought from the morning market.. In addition it is a proclaimed heritage village. What more do you want?
