Glen Eden Farm is a small holding of 50 hectares 14km outside of the historic town of Montagu. There are 5 luxury cottages & 2 glamping sites (glamourous camping). All cottages have private gardens with dining furniture, braai, & splash pool, along with everything you will need for a self-catering break. The glamping site is our most unique accommodation experience yet, we have 2 glamping pods each have with a hand-made gypsy wagon, tepee tent and a private pod with a bathroom and kitchen, the site also has a braai, fire pit & hot tub. Both groups and pets welcome.
In Room Facilities:All cottages have fully equipped kitchens complete with: electric oven, 4 plate gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and all crockery, cutlery and utensils. The glamping site has a 2 plate gas hob, kettle and a fridge/freezer. In all properties linen and towels are provided.
Area Information:Noted as the halfway stop between Cape Town and Oudtshoorn on the popular Route 62, which is regarded as South Africa’s version of America’s renowned Route 66. Blessed with breathtaking scenery, the Langeberg region boasts some of the country’s finest wines and is known for having the longest wine route in the world.
Known as the "mountain mecca" of the Cape, Montagu lies surrounded by the Langeberg mountain range nestled between the Keisie and Kingna Rivers in the western corner of Kannaland, and is famous for her orchards, vineyards, local herbs, rock formations and healing hot mineral springs.
Montagu is one of the best examples of a late Victorian agricultural village in the Western Cape with a number of examples of preserved Cape Dutch and Georgian National Monuments - Long Street houses 14 of the town’s 22 National Monuments and Joubert House epitomises late 19th century living.
Spending time in Montagu is sure to relax and recharge your batteries or, if you are that way inclined, there is a list of activities to get the adrenalin flowing, like mountain biking, kloofing, abseiling, paragliding, fishing and river boat trips up the Breede River.
Property Facilities:There is a dam on the farm which has fish; bass and tilapia, you are welcome to fish, there is a picnic bench to relax on, we can also arrange fishing on the neighboring farm. There are a number of small walks around the farm to enjoy and a touch farm with lots of hand reared animals. You are allowed to see the animals at any time and we can arrange a feeding session.

Accommodation spotless. Surroundings and farm area very neat. Hosts Andy and Claudette very friendly and accommodating on requests when needed. Peaceful area and safe.
We had an wonderful stay at the Glen Eden Farm - Sugarbird cottage. The views are so amazing. We spent the day lazing in the sun in the splash pool, taking in the beautiful lushes surroundings.

Quiet little town with all the charm of a bygone era. Loved that they kept so much of the old town and restored so many places.
