The Elephant Coast Guesthouse is situated in the town of St. Lucia, gateway to iSimangaliso (the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park), which was listed as South Africa's first World Heritage Site in December 1999 in recognition of its unique global values.
The Guesthouse is set amidst a subtropical garden neighbouring the St. Lucia Nature Reserve where the forest trees reflects on a luxurious swimming pool. It has been given four star grading by the South African Tourism Grading Council.
All the elegantly furnished rooms are decorated in a modern African Style. Double rooms, Twin or Triple rooms and Family units are available. The air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms (bath & shower), tea/coffee making facilities, small fridges, hairdryers, toiletries/bathroom amenities have outside doors opening onto a terrace.
A delicious Buffet spread Breakfast is served on the patio overlooking the garden. Lunch and Dinner are not a problem as St. Lucia boasts with a variety of restaurants, most in walking distance from the guesthouse.
In Room Facilities:All the spacious rooms are decorated in a modern African style, with air-conditioning and ceiling fans. It offers a haven of elegance and comfort to retreat to after your daily activities. The rooms come with a private bathroom with bath or shower, tea-and-coffee making facilities, a small fridge, a hairdryer, and free toiletries. Outside doors opening onto a private patio for you to sit and enjoy the garden
Area Information:The tour-desk can help you plan and book your excursions, such as Big 5 game drives, night game drives, sunset tours, hippo and croc tours, bird watching, kayaking, cycling, culture village tours, turtle tours, whale watching, marine mammal tours, deep sea fishing and horse riding.
Property Facilities:A buffet breakfast is served on the patio overlooking the garden, indigenous trees and nature reserve. For lunch and dinner, there are a variety of restaurants, within 5 minutes' drive from the guest house.
The Elephant Coast Guesthouse is an hours drive to the Hluhluwe / Imfolozi Game Reserve, half or full day & for the young at heart a game drive through the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park and a picnic at Cape Vidal Beach where you can swim & snorkel.
