Area Information:From its earliest days Colesberg has been a bustling resting and meeting place, a gateway to the north for explorers and hunters - later also for those seeking their fortune on the Diamond and Goldfields. The Colesberg-Kemper Museum with its 19th century toy collection, memorabilia, is also the permanent house to the UNISA Karoo Nomad Photographic Exhibition. Together with Anglo-Boer War sites and a fine selection of 19th century buildings Colesberg offers an exciting reflection on the past and present. Close by is a nine hole golf course with challenging Karoo fairways but well-maintained grass greens and aprons and well-equipped club house facilities. Other facilities in town include tennis courts, cycling and walking routes, bird-watching and unique sunrises and sunsets.

The town still is a traveller's oasis on the main routes to the interior and the coast. Colesberg Reviews
Colesberg the town has really gone down, rubbish everywhere, dirty and dusty. However as we stayed in the wonderful lodge outside of the town, we will overnight again in the area, as it is in the middle of Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Friendly people and just the right distance from Gauteng to take a break.
Spectacular view of animals and the mountains.
The roads are in great condition, we did not go into the town.
Just travelling through ....
The scenery.

The local pub....Horses and Mill.
Game drive and scenery!
Views!
Tzamenkomst.
