One of the most enchanting places I've stayed in since moving to South Africa 10 years ago. Fantastic views, lovely art on the walls, shelves filled with great books and fun musical instruments for our little boy to play. The farm also has hiking trails that are easy to reach. Best of all is the host who exudes kindness and consideration. The roads ARE NOT THAT BAD. Remember, this is the African bush. Calibrate your expectations correctly or maybe stay in town.
Was a very nice weekend away, the doggies loved it, long beautiful walks and the infinity pool is the best to cool down after the walk.
Had a relaxed and tranquil stay. Loved the backstory on how the house was built. Kids loved the easy hikes, cave and farm animals - can't wait to come back in summer for another visit and a swim in the pool.
Amazing getaway with the family. Loved every moment of it!!
Awesome place to get away from the city and relax. The Red Earth house is spacious and attractively decorated with interesting art. The beds are very comfortable and everything is very clean and well maintained.
There are some relaxing mountain walks that are suitable for the whole family and a lovely reservoir to have a swim in while soaking up a gorgeous view .
Thank you so much for the hospitality Allan. You gladly and warmly received us despite our late arrival well after 2200hrs. You followed up on us till we made it home (Red Earth). Thank you. Louis oh my word we have a friend and the cat we named Gary, lovely pets and were our guides up and down the trail and past all the houses and even our lovely home. They stood guard. No TV meant me and my fiance could bond intimately with no disturbance what so ever. Allan, we surely will be back, we never had enough of your hospitality, your talks when we shouted for you when we need 5 minutes you gave 30 meaning you have time for us always. Thank you once again, we appreciate you, your home and, Louis, man we will miss. Lots of love

Magaliesburg Reviews
Travel by day prevents being surprised by potholes, so pack in some patience when heading this way. Magaliesburg's Little Roadhouse had friendly service and fabulous slap chips. The Route 66 Events held at Mt Grace Hotel were most enjoyable. Looking forward to our next visit.

Its an escape, away from the busy city life.
