Welcome to Saffraan Cottage.
This is the outstanding stone cottage with no electricity for a stay like yester year. Very private and intimate, yet close to town - just 1.3 km outside Sutherland on the Middelfontein Farm.
This open plan cottage consists of a Double Bed, Large fireplace with a Gas cooker and Fridge. The Bathroom uses a Gas Geyser. All necessary self-catering utilities. A Sheltered Stoep with an outside Braai (BBQ) makes for those perfect sunsets.

This is a very cute little stone cottage that I loved. The stars are incredible and it's a great getaway for relaxing, drinking lots of tea, going for a walk on the farm, stargazing and warming up by the fire.
A peaceful, rustic, old school experience we thoroughly enjoyed. Juanita was very helpful and responsive.
Wonderful rustic little stone cottage, very clean and well-appointed with lovely view and good walking trails. Juanita most hospitable. Definitely recommend.
We had a lovely, restful and enjoyable stay at Saffraan cottage. We were also lucky to witness two days of rain in this karoo landscape- which was quite magical.
