Welcome to Willow Point on Swartvlei Lagoon.

Willow Point, Sedgefield – sleeps 2-8 (main house) & sleeps additional 8 guests in two additional cabins
Willow Point is situated on a glorious twelve hectare private, nature and water-fronted site on the Swart River and Swartvlei lagoon, along the lake district between George and Knysna. The hill and floodplain sites are thick with indigenous vegetation and the house commands elevated 180 degree views over the water. Outward Bound manages the property and operates adventurous courses for children, from time-to time, on the tree-lined floodplain and provides access to some water-sports. Explorers Club helps support this initiative.

The double-storey main house has 180 degree views from the main deck and open plan kitchen, living room and dining areas. It can accommodate four adults and four children in three en-suite bedrooms. In addition there are two x two bedroom cabins which sleep up to four additional guests in each one. The main house can be rented out separately. The cabins are an add-on to the main house but are not rented out on their own.

More Information
Bedrooms at Willow Point
Main House
The house is split between two floors, the three-bedroom accommodation on the ground floor and the open-plan kitchen, living and dining room on the first floor. The length of the upstairs opens to a four-metre width deck, through sliding doors, making it a perfect space for inside outside living.

There are two equal sized en-suite bedrooms with sliding doors opening onto a deck and looking. One has a queen sized four poster bed and the other has a super-king sized bed which can be split into twins. On the deck, behind a screen is an outdoor bath and shower, under the canopy of a milkwood tree. The third bedroom has two bunk beds which sleep four children. It has an en-suite shower and basin and access to the guest loo by the stairs. There is also a laundry room. All bedrooms have floor fans.

Cabins x two
Each timber cabin has two bedrooms and share a bathroom with shower, basin and loo, in between the bedrooms. The beds can be made up as one king and two singles in each cabin. Each king can also be split into twin beds. The access is up some steps to a landing which has space for some directors chairs. The cabins are 20 metres from the main house. All bedrooms have floor fans.

Living and Dining at Willow Point
On the first floor is the large open-plan 7.5 m x 11.5 m space kitchen, living and dining room and was designed so as to capture the outstanding views of the site overlooking the indigenous vegetation, river and lagoon. Large sliding doors open onto a partially covered outside deck measuring 4 m by 11.5 m.

The inside has seating around a dining room table for 14. The kitchen is fully equipped with Le Creuset appliances and cookware. The kitchen island has a gas hob and oven and three bar stools. In the cosy living area is a wall mounted television with access to Netflix.

Outside are some comfortable chairs and a sofa and either a gas barbecue (braai) or a Weber Kettle Barbecue.

The house is incredibly beautiful and has everything you’ll need to rest up and feel inspired! They thought of absolutely everything. Deon, who welcomed us and showed us around, took so much care in ensuring we had everything we needed. I will definitely be heading back. What a gem!
