Elephant Valley Lodge lies in the Lesoma Valley where there is an abundance of wildlife. You can watch the game come to the water-hole in front of the Lodge, whether you are eating in the boma, relaxing in the lounge or taking a dip in the rim-flow pool. The 20 accommodation tents are spacious and comfortable with en-suite facilities yet retain the ‘bush vibe’. Enjoy a cacophony of nocturnal animal sounds, including predators such as hyena, jackals and sometimes lion, as you drift off to sleep after an exhilarating day of game viewing at Elephant Valley Lodge.

In Room Facilities:

The lodge has 12 ‘forest tents’ in the shady canopy of trees surrounding the swimming pool. One of these ‘forest tents’ is a family tent, which includes a second bedroom with twin beds and a large bathroom with bath and shower.

A further 8 ‘valley tents’ have views over-looking the valley and water hole. All tents have twin three-quarter beds which can be pushed together with a converter to make a double bed. They are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, fan, electric blankets in winter, hair dryer, charging points plus en-suite shower, toilet and basins. They also have a veranda with seating so that you can relax outside your room and enjoy the views and amazing bird-life.

Area Information:

The Victoria Falls, either on the Zimbabwean and Zambian side, are only about an hour’s drive away from the Lodge. A day trip can easily be arranged, either prior to or after your arrival at the Lodge. Guests would depart after breakfast, around 8:00 hours and return back at the Lodge before 18:00 hours.

Property Facilities:

Sturdy acacias form large canopies of shade over the main communal areas and forest tents. The new rim-flow pool is perfect for a refreshing dip and relaxation on the sun loungers. A traditional out-door ‘boma’ serves evening meals and a game viewing platform brings you closer to the valley’s wildlife.

An attractive open lounge with bar and upper viewing deck is connected to the dining areas. All these facilities have magnificent views over-looking the valley and water-hole, which attracts a wide variety of game, particularly elephant.

Attractions:

Boat Safaris along the Chobe River are a wonderful way to experience close encounters with an abundance of riverine birds and animals. You can enjoy watching elephants playing in the river or going for a swim.

Game drives offer opportunities to see and photograph the stunning range and concentration of wild life that the Chobe National Park is famous for. Photography tuition on safari is available on request.
