Formed by the natural marshes, lakes, islands and rivers of Northern Botswana, the Chobe National Park stands as one of the most magnificent examples of unblemished African wilderness. Home to the greatest concentration of southern African wildlife and the world's largest elephant population, Chobe National Park is one of the most prolific game parks in the world. In the midst of the marshy wonderland, Chobe Safari Lodge is a safari paradise for any wildlife enthusiast. Here, guests dine bathed in the glow of an African sunset in a picturesque outdoor restaurant overlooking the Chobe River.

Accommodation at Chobe Safari Lodge consists of:

Safari Rooms
The newest additions to Chobe are our 46 safari rooms. Individually decorated, they offer every comfort. Each safari room affords our guests the luxury of air-conditioning, luxurious en-suite bath and shower facilities, as well as satellite TV, and telephone. The Safari rooms enjoy expansive lawns which form the banks of the Chobe river. Each room has its own patio that gives one the privacy of enjoying views of the river from the comfort of your own room. The rooms are also in close proximity to the main complex.

River Rooms
The north east facing luxurious twin-bed river rooms are air-conditioned and offer the convenience of phone, TV and large en-suite bathrooms. Family rooms include two twin bedrooms. Our wing of river rooms are attached to the main complex via down stairs corridor or upstairs viewing deck.

The river room complex also has it's own riverside garden where guests often take time to photograph the resident monkeys and mongoose. Both our upstairs and downstairs units also enjoy their own private patios.

Rondawels
One of Chobe Safari Lodges original accommodation types, the trditional thatched rondavels are independently positioned, with ceiling fans and en-suite bathrooms. These detached units are positioned close to the river in the lodge gardens.

The rondavels are positioned to the west of the main complex and are also a very short walk to the main complex.

Camping
The famous Chobe Safari lodge campsite offers individual sites scattered amongst the riverine forest close to the Chobe River. Each site has its own power point and is close to one of the modern ablution facilities. The Sedudu Bar overlooks the river and floodplains, and is well known as "the" sundowner spot in the region.

Chobe Safari Lodge offers its guests a smorgasbord of activities, from game drives in the Chobe National Park, to fishing, to game flights, to tripping to the Victoria Falls or the Okavango Delta for the day. Chobe Safari Lodge is wonderful. Service is good. We stayed at the campsite Dec 2016/Jan 2017 and our car broke down. The receptionist was extremely helpful and found us a good local mechanic.

All amenities at the camp site were good . . . EXCEPT for the Warthogs they allow to roam freely in the campsite. They are absolute nuisances, broke into our tent twice while we were in the game park. They are filthy - our tent is ruined. We had to do daily housekeeping due to the mud etc they brought in. This experience put me off camping for LIFE!!

The reception was fair but a lack of willingness to assist later on on in the stay spoiled it somewhat. The campsite was too small for two vehicles (8 persons) but was upgraded on site when this became aparent. The camping staff was very friendly. A very busy time with all the trafic from the cape.

The booking arrangements were exceptionally done. The lodge was not too difficult to find. The food was great, although it took us by surprise that we had to pay for the drinks taken as part of the meals when all meals were included in the booking! Two other comlaints. One, for a country thats hot, to have not even a small fridge in the rooms for a cold drink is not good. Two, you need to know your clients better. We had clearly stated that we were a couple on holiday as part of our honey moon. To be given a room with two single beds was shocking to say the least.

Otherwise, we had a fantastic time at Chobe safari Lodge. Our guide for the game drive was exceptional, Moss was his name I think!

Thanks for a well organised trip, will definitely consider you again for future bookings.

Compliments of the season.
