Avani Lodge Private Nature Reserve is renowned for the tranquillity of our environment, and the abundance of fynbos species within the reserve. Guests will feel the natural inclination to enjoy the freedom to relax and enjoy our facilities and the great outdoors. Our eco-friendly, thatched, straw bale and cob rondawels, each with its own private wood-burning Hot Tub, offer a rustic and quirky space where guests can expect nothing less than soul-feeding tranquillity and peace.
Each unit accommodates two people only, except Parrastoel which can accommodate 2 - 6 people.
No babies or children due to the exposed Hot Tubs & Woodburning stoves.
Absolutely no day visitors.
No pets.

Lovely rustic accommodation in the woods. Can absolutely recommend it.
A beautiful getaway. The little cabins are well equipped, private and very comfortable. The hot tub and braai area is perfection - everything you need for an relaxing escape in nature. Ewald really has thought of everything. Highly recommend a stay!
Stay was pleasant, however the existing units need some attention. The units seem to be run down since our last stay. The baths are not usable they need to be repainted. The roadway to the units need to be trimmed as normal low profile vehicles scrap on the bottom. All round pleasant stay, however more maintenance needed for the existing units.
Absolutely heaven... will be returning every year.

Peace and quiet.
The view of the mountains.
A small town with plenty of character. Absolutely loved how close the wine farms were, and the little stalls on the side of the road had lots to offer. Food at the Botriver Hotel was also great value for money, with super friendly staff!
