Experience the Gamtoos at the Ferry Hotel, Function Venue and Caravan Park. We are situated 15km away from Jeffreys Bay and 55km from Port Elizabeth. Come and experience our newly renovated double rooms and family room, or if you would rather stay in your caravan or camp out we have a caravan park with electricity for all sites as well as a modern ablution block. Our brand new and modern venue, for weddings, ceremonies, receptions, corporate functions and birthday parties will comfortably seat up to 120 guests, overlooking the majestic Gamtoos river, with a wrap-around patio, for those who prefer to soak up the nature outdoors. If you just want to visit for the day we have exquisite picnic sites on the Gamtoos river bank, with braai facilities. There is also a convenience shop if you didn't manage to catch supper as well as a Restaurant and bar to quench your thirst whilst trying. The Ferry Hotel also boasts with a delicious Sunday lunch menu guaranteed to be enjoyed by the whole family. Bookings are essential. For the boating enthusiasts there is a slipway to the Gamtoos river, and for fishing it is a record cob fishing destination.

Unfortunately, due to extreme weather conditions and advisories not to travel, we couldn't make the trip. The lovely staff at Gamtoos Ferry Hotel called me on Saturday afternoon and offered to accommodate us on a new date. This was very nice of them and i extend my thanks to them and especially to Vicky :)
Our stay at Gamtoos Ferry Hotel was amazing. There was an accident when we were checking in but all the staffs were so kind and helpful.
The view from our family room was magic, it was like looking at painting.

Pragtige skoon en netjiese kamer met die mooiste uitsig. Gasheer baie vriendelik en behulpsaam. Defnitief weer daar bly.
Beautiful spot fascinating history wonderfully welcoming managers. Lovely rooms just done up very comfortable. Rooms open directly onto lawn down to river. Mosquitoes so remember your spray. Hotel just done up so a few teething problems like too many security lights on all night so shone Into bedroom so they are sorting that out. Amazing value for the price will def stay there again and would love to try out the restaurant. Good stop for us on way to Cape Town
