We love Africa. We love the African people. We love the African culture. We love the African lifestyle. We love the African bush & the African wildlife. And we also love 5-star luxury, fabulous cuisine, great wines and being pampered too!
South Africa is a huge and diverse country. Visitors who choose to visit remote game parks often have to spend many days of their precious holiday time travelling.
The Dinokeng Game Reserve [DGR] is the only Big 5 Game Reserve located in the north of the malaria-free province of Gauteng, and is only a 1-hour drive from OR Tambo International Airport and Johannesburg, and a mere 35-minute drive from Pretoria/Hatfield.
We set out to develop an intimate, luxurious boutique hotel set within the beautiful African bush, and also offering a magnificent restaurant and bar, all to cater for no more than 30 special guests at a time.
In Room Facilities:Villa:
Beautiful luxurious villa 100m2 with direct and private view to the bush. The traditional thatched roof villa consists of a large bedroom with a comfortable king-sized bed, convenient kitchenette with all you need and spacious bathroom with corner bath & step down shower. You can enjoy private splash pool with outside shower and outdoor sitting area.
Suite:
Our luxurious suite is very generous in space 220m2 and consists of two ensuite bedrooms with king-size beds, desk and build-in wardrobe. Bathrooms are big and you can enjoy either corner bath or a spacious step-down shower. Both bedrooms share large living area with bar and kitchen. The outside area of the suite has a dining table with build in braai and also other comfortable sittings are at the other end. Enjoy the direct and private view to the bush from your swimming pool. Boma area with sitting space and outside shower is also part of the suite
Area Information:The Dinokeng Game Reserve (DGR) is located in a beautiful area with many rivers in the northern part of the malaria-free province of Gauteng, in South Africa.

At Tiimm’s Bar you can relax in the intimate stylish environment or choose to sit out on our deck overlooking the waterhole while you sip a refreshing sun-downer. Our local wines, beers and spirits are included within your package rate. [international brands are also available at additional cost] and major sports events can be viewed on the big-screen TV.
Maatta’s Restaurant
Fine dining can be enjoyed at Maatta’s Restaurant where you can watch our experienced chefs preparing your meal using only the freshest ingredients and will savour our fine African & international cuisine. Alternatively, you may prefer to enjoy room service in your own private Suite or Villa, of course, the choice is entirely yours.

There are few nicer feelings than being sat comfortably around a roaring fire listening to the calls of the Jackals and watching the bush and the braai [BBQ].
Swimming Pool
As well as your private pool at your Suite or Villa, our salt water swimming pool, located close to Tiimm’s Bar and Maatta’s Restaurant, is the perfect place to cool off during our warm summer months between October and April.
Spa Treatments
Our spa treatments and massages are performed in the privacy of your own Suite or Villa while you relax gazing out at the African bush and wildlife.
Wine Cellar [including private bar option]
We are proud of our extensive wine cellar and wine tasting room where you can sample our selection of fine South African wines at our organised tastings.

We have free WIFI Coverage throughout the Resort.
Conferencing Facilities
We offer 2 options: -
For small senior executive groups [typically 10 people] our private meeting room equipped with large flat-screen TV, private bar, patio and bush view is highly recommended.
Alternatively our main conferencing room, decorated in traditional African style, is ideal for larger meeting groups up to 20 people.
Attractions:The Dinokeng Game Reserve is a “Big Five” game reserve with free-roaming elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo & rhino, as well as jackal, cheetah, hyena and a huge variety of other African wildlife.

What a great weekend and was spoiled all the way. I will recommend this break to anyone. The efforts and personal attention we received from the staff was amazing. My kids was so spoiled by the staff and also was given to do honour course as Junior Rangers and received certificates, this will always be remembered and thanks again to Rob, Samson, Danny, Goodman and all the staff for the amazing time that we had. Will definitely go to Golden Impala Bush Resort in near future. Thank you all.
Superb 5 Stars resort try it and trust me you won't regret
We had an awesome one nights stay and upgraded to the fully inclusive food and drink package with a game drive. Khabeer and his staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Food was great and alcohol was flowing. The accommodation was first class and the en suite swimming pool was warm. Game drive great and drinks and snacks set up during the drive was a 5 star touch. It is more of a boutique lodge so you get the personal touch. The beauty is the close proximity of the reserve to Pretoria and Joburg. we will be back in winter when the grass is a little shorter. Cheers.

I enjoyed the self-game driving, though I only saw 2 of the Big 5's next time I'll use the Game Rangers drive... I also loved the picnic sighting the food there it's very nice and tasty...
