Lekwena Wildlife Estate is a private game reserve on just over 2399ha situated on the outskirts of Potchefstroom. The combination of bushveld, savannah, rocky outcrops and wetlands offer a diverse habitat for wildlife on some of the finest game ranching land available.
We offer luxury accommodation at our Main Lodge with seven double rooms and one family room. The rustic African rondawels offer 3 self-catering units with its own braai facilities, ideal for a family break away.
Our main venue consists of the dining area with a fireplace, boardroom, conference facilities and a bar. We can accommodate approximately 65 guests at the main venue and conference room. We also offer activities on the premises like game drives and horseback riding.
The reserve is home to approximately 2000 head of game which includes 20 antelope species and more than 163 identified bird species. 37 km of game viewing routes planned around the more than 15 dams as well as various lookout points, will give you ample opportunity to experience the wildlife in their natural habitat.

African Wildlife theme. All our rooms each consist of a kitchenette, tea and coffee station, hairdryer and en-suite bathroom.
Potchefstroom is a historical town as it was the first town north of the Vaal River. Today Potchefstroom is known as the City of Expertise and is home to four tertiary institutions and 30 schools, as well as numerous research training centers. Because of its rich history, Potchefstroom has numerous museums and historical attractions. Parys is also approximately 48 km from Lekwena Wildlife Estate. Many artists have settled in the town Parys and many new interesting shops and attractions makes it the ideal breakaway close to Gauteng and big centres. A unique attraction in Parys, the suspension bridge, was built in 1918 to connect Golf Island to the town. Parys is in the 5 km buffer zone of the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site.
