Gerda’s Place is a very private self catering flat with its own entrance and can accommodate up to four guests. The unit features DStv, air-conditioning free wi-fi and barbecue facilities. Your vehicle can be safely parked under shade net covering behind lock up gates. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen with stove, micro wave oven, fridge and deep freeze for your catch. Full bathroom with bath and shower. Fish cleaning facilities.

Gerda’s Place is situated in St Lucia in KwaZulu-Natal, within driving distance of the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve and within walking distance of several restaurants, shops and fruit markets in town. Nearby activities include boat cruises, hiking, Zulu village tours, fishing, diving, and whale watching.
St Lucia Wetlands Park was declared a World Heritage site in 1999 at an unveiling ceremony where Nelson Mandela was guest of honour. The park was proclaimed a World Heritage site because of the huge biodiversity occurring in a relatively small area. Animals in the park include elephants, leopard, black and white rhino, buffalo, and in the ocean, whales, dolphins, and marine turtles including the leatherback and loggerhead turtle.

We went to St Lucia Villa Mia 5 to recover after operation. Absolutely beautiful place. Our own private braai area right at pool. Due to my medical condition we could not go out but our hosts arranged food delivery for us from nearly all the restaurants in St Lucia. One night there was guests that were intoxicated and loud. We informed our hosts who in return got the caretaker at the property in minutes and he resolved the issue. Will definitely book again. Thanks to the workers at Villa Mia that were always willing to run and get us something we needed in town. It felt like home and we will always remember our trip. Next time we will definitely visit all the attractions that St Lucia has to offer.
