Wilderness offers something for everyone! From eating out at a range of fine restaurants to browsing art galleries to shopping at boutiques and night markets to sports and adrenalin activities or simply enjoying miles of pristine beaches and sipping sundowners, you can have it all.
Four of the best golf courses in South Africa are within a 50km radius, the closest being the world-famous Fancourt in George which is a mere 25 km from IdylWilde.

Attractions:Victoria Bay and Buffalo Bay have some of the best surfing and are close enough to enjoy as a day outing from our guesthouse. Wilderness also provides the perfect base to explore all that the Garden Route has to offer. The Southern Cape Lake Area area has an abundance of bird life, and it’s worth staying a few extra nights in order to explore the nearby Garden Route towns, including Mossel Bay, Oudtshoorn, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, each offering their own attractions. Day safaris are also very popular and are situated in Oudtshoorn and Mossel Bay. Wilderness Tourist Information is 100m from IdylWilde.

Wilderness offers a wide variety of activities for all ages with an abundance of hiking trails, canoe offerings and paragliding available, whilst being surrounded by some of the most pristine beaches our country has to offer. If you love nature and adventure, Wilderness is your playground. For daytrips, you have the option of visiting neighbouring areas including George, Sedgefield, Knysna and Plettenberg. This is definitely a home away from home.
