Dombeya is an stunning get-away, where you can experience the African bush, up-close, and at your own pace!
The lodge is a beautiful and peaceful retreat, in the easy-to-access Dombeya Game Reserve (central Eswatini, about 20 mins from Manzini on the MR5). We have over 30 kms of gravel game drive roads, 10 kms of walking and hiking trails, and you often see herds of wildlife from the Lodge's comfortable verandah. Guests enjoy the chance to walk, hike, and get out of your vehicle whenever you see something that interests you!
We also have STARLINK, in case you need to be connected!
The Lodge has stunning sunrise / sunset views, a lovely pool, and a wildlife watering hole within a 5 min stroll. Our wildlife includes giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, kudu, nyala, bushbuck, waterbuck, impala, warthog, bushpig, jackal, caracal, and many smaller buck and animals. We also have over 210 species on our bird list so far!
The Lodge sleeps 4, in 2 lovely bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. Each bedroom has a king-sized bed. Upon request, the king bed in 1 bedroom can be split into 2 single beds. Guests rent the entire Lodge, regardless of the number of visitors. The Lodge has a beautiful, well-equipped kitchen (Dombeya is self-catering), and a large wrap-around verandah, which is perfect for wildlife viewing and sun-downers. There is a private pool (no lifeguards and no pool net/fence), and an outdoor braai/BBQ area - we provide firelighters and firewood. This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature!
We strongly recommend 2-3 nights at least, and we have a 2nd and 3rd Lodge nearby, if you have additional guests! Min: 2 guests.
We are 100% committed to the health of our visitors and staff. We offer "contact-free" tourism, with many precautions to ensure your safety. Dombeya uses a complete "self-check-in" policy, with no face-to-face arrival procedure, and we adhere to international, best practices on hygiene and safety.
We live full-time in the Reserve and look forward to your visit!

The Domeya Game Reserve is really a heaven on earth location. Next to that, the host, Stefanie, is very kind and helpful.
We spotted several animals, enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and of course the beautiful lodge in a very serene environment.
We did enjoy our stay and will definitely come back.
What a beautiful place. The Lodge itself has a perfect combination of raw bush and refined accommodation. The house is exquisitely appointed; fully equipped for your comfort and convenience and there are lots of little thoughtful details that elicit a sense of warm invitation; such as homemade rusks and a French press for that cup of Joe( we had the Mabuda Farm coffee- also proudly Swazi). Books and cards and paraffin lamps; throws for lounging; a pool view over the plain towards the mountains in the distance and lots of separate areas for families to enjoy both communal and individual activities. And 30 kms of gravel roads to enjoy; 10 kms of hiking trails and the gentler species of African wildlife to appreciate.
My husband and I absolutely loved it here and will most certainly return.
