Bergsig Guesthouse is a Luxury Accommodation guest house situated on the hillside of Bethlehem in the west suburb of Bergsig. The guest house has a spectacular view of the sunrise and overlooks the town of Bethlehem making for a perfect view of the night lights of Bethlehem.
This Luxury Accommodation Guesthouse, perfect for Individuals, Couples, Family and Colleagues. Our premises boast a large dining area, a braai area as well as spacious safe parking with 24hour surveillance.
In Room Facilities:Each room is equipped with a shower, toilet and basin. Every room also has a TV with selected channels, a minibar fridge, kettle with cups and condiments.
Area Information:Named after the biblical Bethlehem not for the birth of the legendary Jesus, but for its wheat growing capacity, the town is the heart of the wheat belt of the Free State, its fertile soil an abundance of wheat crops and sunflowers, making it the largest commercial centre in the eastern Free State. It lies on the Liebenbergs River just south of the Rooiberg Mountain on the N5.
Those who live here claim the climate to be sublime with frosty winters and mild summers, and an average daily temperature of 24 degrees Celcius. During summer the mountains are green, in spring they are filled with blossoms and during winter there is every chance of snow.

Attractions:As with all Free State towns one has but to know where to seek out the activities that will make a visit worthwhile, like the typical, historical sandstone buildings that are now provincial heritage sites in town, the Bethlehem Museum and the Sol Plaaitjie Dam.
And what do Bethlehemers do over weekends? They watch interschool rugby, braai next to the jet ski spot at Loch Athlone, head out to Golden Gate Park Highlands National Park, the village of Clarens, or walk in the Wolhuterskop Nature Reserve.

The people are friendly and the town is situated in the most beautifull part of the Free State.
Close to Clarens.
Enjoyed dinner at the Wooden Spoon.
It is a small town, but it has all the necessary shops and restaurants.
We went for a doctor's visit, so we did not really move around. We found the bit of shopping that we did very nice and the people very friendly. In summer time this is a very friendly "Platteland" town. Lots of eating places and easy shopping.
Central located.
We found Bethlehem clean and enjoyed the restaurants and pubs.
Less traffic in Bethlehem.
The food and service at Ocean Basket were excellent.
