In Room Facilities:We have been graded as a 4 star establishment by the TGCSA. We have 12 purpose designed rooms, all with private en-suite bathrooms, including both a bath and a separate walk-in shower.
Our rooms have been designed for the comfort and convenience of the business traveler, with a well-lit work surface and conveniently placed power points. All of our rooms have private entrances and independently controlled air-conditioning, TV with DStv, bar fridge, tea/coffee facilities.
All the rooms have been fitted with a digital safe. In the event of a power failure, we also have a backup generator with sufficient capacity for the entire guest house, to ensure that our guests are not inconvenienced.
Our rooms have either a queen size bed or two single beds. The linen is of outstanding quality and we only use 100% cotton Percale sheets. Our rooms have been tastefully decorated, with soft furnishings carefully selected to compliment the original oil painting in every room. It creates a tranquil atmosphere for the guests to relax.
Area Information:Formerly, and rather confusingly, known as Mafeking and originally named Mahikeng, Mafikeng is today the capital city of the North West Province that lies on the border with Botswana about 260 kilometres west of Johannesburg. Mmabatho, its neighbour, held the title of capital of the province for about five minutes after which a reshuffle left Mafikeng in the privileged position, reducing Mmabatho to little more than a suburb of the new capital city.
In 1885 the Warren expedition was sent to Mafikeng to restore stolen land back to the Barolong people. During their stay two forts were built on either side of the Molopo River, Kanon Kopje and Warrens Fort. Artillery shells can still be found at the site which has a commemorative plaque and offers an elevated view of Mafikeng.

Mafikeng Reviews

It is very quiet and peaceful. Not a lot you can do but if you are looking for relaxation without any up and down then Mafikeng can be your option.
Everything!
Visiting places of attractions. It was nice to be at Royal Aloe Guesthouse
