Here, nature is left unspoilt as the Creator intended it – for the animals to roam free, the birds to sing their sweetly songs, the mountains to stand proudly in their grandeur and the breeze to sweep mischievously through the trees…

Tucked snugly between the South-Western fence of Welgevonden Game Reserve and the Southern fence line of Marakele National Park, Alpetra Nature Reserve offers a selection of accommodation consisting of 4 self-catering chalets at the main lodge, 1 large private bush lodge and a lovely lakeside cabin. The standard of accommodation all around is far above average.

Quiet, clean and very comfortable. Hosts are accommodating and pleasant. The game drives (included in the price) through their various camps gave us good sightings of many animal and bird species.
