The Artists Cottages at Le Quartier,
4 Self Catering Cottages in Dullstroom, Mpumalanga, South Africa, situated conveniently between Gauteng and the Kruger National Park and Mozambique, making it an ideal stop-over destination to break your trip, or as a quick getaway for a mid-week or weekend break.
Dullstroom lies in the heart of the village and is situated within walking distance of designer shops, upmarket restaurants and classic old style pubs. There are four superb self catering units comprising 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin room, a bathroom and open plan kitchen / lounge. The cottages are spacious and can comfortably accommodate four persons each. Each cottage has its own fireplace and a starter bundle of wood is provided.
Kitchens are fully equipped and a Weber braai is provided on request, as well as a built in braai in the garden, ideal for groups who book out the whole venue.
The cottages are decorated and themed according to renowned artists, Picasso, Renoir, Monet and Van Gogh. Each cottage has paintings and décor suiting the era as well as the artist style. Your experience at Le Quartier is aimed at drawing you back to experience another artists talent. Paintings were commissioned locally and depict each Artists best known works.
We are pleased to advise that we are in the process of converting to full solar.
All the cottages are now linked through an inverter, so load shedding shouldn’t be a problem. However, if we experience 4 hour load shedding, the batteries will not cope for the full 4 hours. They do manage fine on 2 hour outages.
We ask that you use electricity considerately during the load shedding periods, but please enjoy the accommodation, and having the lights on!
For the nature enthusiasts, step one road back and you find yourself in the country. Dullstroom has specatular bird life and it’s not uncommon to see a duiker strolling down the road at night.
No smoking inside. Pets allowed on request as per our policy
