Come and experience modern luxury in the four Victorian-style rooms situated in the historic manor house. In addition, the Garden Cottage offers three en-suite rooms with garden views - each with a private entrance. Take a stroll in our lush gardens, look out for the Cape dwarf chameleon and Hoopoe, as well as many other bird species. Observe the Koi fish in the pond at the Garden Cottage, or simply relax at the swimming pool with a classic novel from our library whilst sipping some delicious homemade ice tea.

Area Information:Swellendam was the last outpost of Dutch civilisation on the eastern frontier and thus the services of the residents of the town were of utmost importance
The region has a predominantly Mediterranean climate. The area is botanically diverse with an abundance of wild flowers and fynbos.
Wildlife such as the formerly endangered bontebok and Cape mountain zebra inhabit the area. Other species include bushbuck, klipspringer, grey rhebuck, Cape grysbok, baboon, mongoose, genet and the occasional leopard, as well as a species of ghost frog and a unique forest emperor butterfly.
Over 200 bird species found near the town include waterfowl, the crowned eagle, black eagle, Narina trogon, paradise flycatcher and the Knysna woodpecker.

I enjoyed Aan De Eike Guesthouse, My room were clean and the service were excellent.I felt very safe enjoyed every moment since I arrived. Swellendam is beautiful with most beautiful views. The location was very convenient and would recommend The Republican Restaurant. The food and vibe were awesome. It's safe to walk in Swellendam, what a beautiful place for entertainment

Scenery, the residents, the roads are in great condition (compared to many many many other towns/cities in SA).
Wildebraam Estate. Friendly people. No traffic. Has all the shops and places one needs.
