Clairvaux Estate is a historical homestead, surrounded by a picturesque landscape found at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, in the heart of the Robertson Winelands in the Western Cape. The property is one of the oldest in the region and with each generation it has evolved. We invite you to stay at this historic farmhouse and experience Clairvaux’s hospitality and the wonders of Robertson. The property was renovated in 1890 for Balthazar Kloppers. Clairvaux Estate is a working farm so guests can expect to see staff on the property and in the out-buildings whilst enjoying the privacy that both the Historical Farmhouse and Prevoir Baths Pool House offers.
In Room Facilities:The holiday home is equipped with 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor swimming pool with a fully-equipped pool house and a terrace with river views.
Area Information:We are proud to call Clairvaux Historical Farmhouse our home for the last 5 generations. A place where dreams become reality. Today Clairvaux Estate is home to Rialheim Studio which produces authentic ceramic homeware and decor. The Rialheim studio represents the owner's dream to express his love for Africa using African clay as a medium and to utilise Clairvaux Estate as a contributor to the Robertson Wine Valley experience. For the safety of the Rialheim Studio team, studio tours and visits are currently not permitted.
Clairvaux Historical Farm House is nestled between Clairvaux Wine Cellar and Rialheim. While Clairvaux remains an operational farm it is also walking distance to town.
Property Facilities:Featuring garden views, Clairvaux Historical Farm House provides accommodation with a bar, a garden, a swimming pool and barbecue facilities. The property features city and mountain views, and is 400 m from Robertson. At the holiday home, guests are welcome to take advantage of an outdoor swimming pool and pool house.

Robertson Reviews
The natural beauty. Pies from Affie Plaas.
Hiking trails and restaurants.
Plenty to do. Abundance of wine farms. Beautiful views.
Quaint little town. Friendly people. Lots to do.
Ek is gebore en getoeë van Robertson. Dit sal altyd my hartsplekkie wees. Was aangenaam verras om Die Laaitjie op jul webtuiste te sien. Dit was oorspronklik my oorlede pa se suster en haar man se plaas. My pa het op die aangrensende plaas geboer. Ek en my broers het saam met die neefs Die Laaitjie plat gespeel. Die waterval was daardie jare al 'n groot aantrekkingskrag vir kuiergaste. Oujaarsaande is groot makietie hier gehou. Selfs die dorps inwoners het kom meedoen. Dankie vir die mooi fotos. Ek kon so bietjie in my kinderskoene terug stap.
Robertson is really a gem in the Cape Winelands, great wine tasting and dining (Christina's @ Van Loveren, Bourbon Street, Four Cousins, Excelsior) experience all in an authentic environment. A short drive from CT, ideal for a relaxing weekend at a small town pace, to recharge your batteries.
